  1. Welcome Staci!! That is GREAT! So glad to hear! Did you know you had a hernia at the time of surgery? Or was it something that was found and fixed during the procedure? My surgery is soon and I'm excited!
  2. Just commented on the other post of yours but once again SO HAPPY FOR YOU! What a wonderful thing!
  3. WOO HOO!!! Great job! So exciting to hear and so inspirational! Keep in up, I bet you feel amazing!
  4. Today is a new day! No one is perfect and everyday is going to have it's own challenges and problems but put your best foot forward and better choices will come! Best wishes to you, I see your ticker and you are doing great! so happy for you! Keep up the good work!
  5. I did juicing for about 6 months prior to deciding to do lap band. It was fairly easy to do but the cost was a bit extreme for me personally. A proper juice would use quite a bit of veggies, so I was going to the Farmer's market and buying in bulk. I did mention this to True Results and the Doctor there said it wouldn't hurt every once in a while, but that the band was most effective with chewed solids. I have no idea though, I hope everything works out for you! It took me a while to find some yummy recipes, I had to look on line because I kept making some and they were terrible! So I say go online and look some up! I just know I used a lot of ginger and a lot of green fruits and veggies. Best Wishes!
  6. I agree with all of the above. When I was looking for a bike I was worried about the weight limits, so I went to a local bike shop that wasn't a large chain store so I could get more of a knowledgeable opinion. I was able to find the perfect bike. In the end it did cost me more than normal but it has done its job! Hope you find the perfect match!
  7. I hope for the same! I just care about her, same with my entire family. Thank you so much!
  8. Yes, i feel like she is struggling with the same emotional and physical problems as I am. I just want her to be as happy as I'm going to be! Thanks for all the support! I'm going to give her time and space. Thanks again.

  16. I went ahead and kept in contact with my insurance as often as I felt the need, just to ensure they were gettig all my paperwork etc. Granted I tend to be a little impatient and anxious all the time, but after I submitted my paperwork and finished all my requirements from the insurance it took them 9 days to come back with a response.. they told me it would take anywhere from 30-60 days so of course to my surprise I had the go ahead in a little over a week. My nurse said it depends on who is working your case and how many cases they are working on. I hope you get a response soon! Me nagging them all the time could have been a reason why they approved me so quickly, so I say go for it! haha best wishes! xx
  17. Welcome and so happy for you on the success and working so hard to better your self! Keep it up!
  18. I hate when dreams feel SO real, I usually wake up in a panic! haha Glad you are doing great, keep up the good work and best wishes to you@
  19. My cousin and I have been close since we were kids, we do everything together. We are both over weight and have dealt with that together and have given each other emotional support, well I'm easily 80-100 pounds heavier than she is... and since I have started the journey for WLS she has distanced herself. Until last night she was giving me support, and all of a sudden broke down and just made me feel so guilty. She complained about the surgery and couldn't stop bringing up all the things I couldn’t do anymore.. I was ready to freak out.. but I just told her that my health and happiness out weight all of things I will have to cut out of my life. She continued to express how she was jealous.. I have never seen this side of her. She has always been prettier than me and more social and maybe she is intimidated that I’m making a change for the better.. idk but I sat up with a heavy heart last night.. I know I'm doing this for ALL the right reasons and I'm done with people bringing me down. I even told her I would take her to true results so she could have a free consultation and maybe start the same journey.. idk.. I guess I’m just stressed and felt like venting! Xx
  20. That's great! So happy you are doing well on the diet! I hope I do the same! I start my liquid diet next week! Keep up the good work and congrats to everyone being banded in July (and every other month )
  21. Not banded yet, but currently 263 as of this morning. Surgery is in 3 weeks but ive been making better choices the last year preparing for the insurance and stuff. I was 290 when I started the process so I've lost a few pounds the last month or so, my surgery was supposed to be June 24th so I was on liquids for a while but then it was switched to the 22nd. Anyways, my goal is 145 but my Dr. wants me at 126, I'm 5'4. :D
  22. Good question! I've tried many beef broths home made and boxed or canned. I say the home made ones are the best but id go to food network channel and look up a few ways to make it quick and easy! If not swanson (I believe) is great.
  23. Well said Brad, along with everyone else. Just gives me more motivation Pre surgery to really think about how my actions can affect me. Really helps!!!
  24. So glad you made this step! Hopefully everything goes how you want!!! Keep it up!
  25. I'm sorry to hear that you have had such a bumpy ride the last few days! I'm glad that all the tests were taken care of and ou are on your way to surgery! So happy for you! Also I'm glad that the cat is doing okay! My dog was once stung by multiple bee's and was very sick, we also made midnight ER visit! Also haha AZ heat is rough, lived there for many years, TX is no better. Let us know how you are doing once you are able. Best wishes.
