  1. I have 2 kids, an 11 yr old & 2 yr old boys. I was banded 5/28/13. I plan on trieing to get pregnant next fall, approx 18 mos post surgery. My dr said that though they would like me to wait 2 yrs, I should be fine. The biggest concern is getting maximum weight loss before getting pregnant
  2. Thanks guys- so helpful to know I'm not alone! Going for a fill on Friday- hoping this works
  3.    tootiemagoo reacted to a post in a topic: Banaster Hell???
  4. Exactly how I feel. If I have to be this strict- then why did I do it? I'm not good at being strict. This is why I am over weight
  5. Thanks guys! I def am trying to eat right....but still do not do so all the time. I know it's work- but it's discouraging bc if I was able to not overheat & eat healthy- I wouldn't have needed to be banded. Just feels like I had nothing done at this point :(
  6. I see people say things about Banaster Hell. Wondering what exactly it is. I got banded a month ago. Going for my 1st fill this week. But I'm starvingggg! The whole 1 c of food is not cutting it. Most days I do great but I notice I Can over eat. I would say I can eat pretty much anything except bread gets stuck occ. I would say I eat 1/2 of what I use to but probably still double what I'm suppose to. My question is - is this the banister hell everyone talks about & once I get a fill will it help?
  7. Where do you buy it? And how much is it?
  8. I am 3.5 weeks post op & I feel the same way! I get do scared I'm overeating.... But I'm so hungry! I often wonder if I even got a band put in lol! I feel exactly the same as before. 1 c of food does not make me full ;( but I do try! Esp w the fluids. Hahah I ate sushi a couple days ago- my fav food. Only 3 pieces though- I wanted 3 rolls!
  9. Hi all! I was banded on May 28th so I'm about 3.5 weeks post op. at 3 weeks post op I was able to start reg foods. I'm just looking for ideas on what people typically eat? Also portions! I notice that I eat about 1/2 what I did before being banded, but it still seems like too much food for being banded. I am guilty of not always measuring. The only thing I really have trouble w is bread- but only occasionally. I've been "stuck" twice- ugh. Horrible feeling! Any advice will be helpful! I go for my 1st fill July 4th.
  10. Lapbandanna- glad to know I'm not alone It's hard to not eat just to eat. That's always been my biggest problem. Not eating bc I was hungry- but eating bc it looked good/smelled good/was out w friends or whatever other reason I had. Hunger was rarely ever the culprit.
  11. I had my band put in May 28th. I already feel hungry. Sometimes I feel the restriction but I have already eaten things I def shouldn't. (3 potato chips 1time, potatoes, & a couple bites of hotdog) now I know I shouldn't be eating those bc right now I'm still on liquids only til Monday. But what really concerns me- is I ate those things with no problem. At all. And I don't feel full that fast anymore. Had about 1.5 c of soup other day. Probably could've ate double that. when will the restriction kick in???
