  4. @kristene61, I have anxiety on the regular. I take a "happy pill" lol and it goes away. lol Take a walk out side. read more posts lol.. @myshine84, positive all the way. & when we get down, you have a group of people from all over the world that you can vent too.
  5. @myshine84, the sleep study is kinda important bc as I understood it from the pulmonologist & surgeon it dictates your stay in the hospital for over night. Im a belly & side sleeper, so the test came back as mild sleep apnea. I made the personal choice to stay overnight. "A club med vacation as I call it." By the way, I know it's hard not having support. I have heard things from "your taking the easy way out" or "your beautiful you dont need that, just work out" <~~ those people can take a hike. Bc I do work out and I do eat kinda right but still cant lose & keep off. my highest weight was 280. Keep in touch. We are all here for the same reason!!! 6. Kbush, I know Isopure has clear Protein in bottles. They have different flavors. I personally think they cost way too much. Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 using LapBandTalk
  7. Hi Veronica. My surgeon suggests to use Isopure. 2 Shakes & a small meal equalling a total of 800 calories. Im surprised, usually the Dr's office or Bariatric Center provides that info. I'm going to be banded on 7/10 Good luck. Keep in touch. Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 using LapBandTalk
  8. @aviva1979, "BAND TWINS" How cute.. no one around me has even thought about to WLS. I'm glad i can share our progress. @gowalking, talk about long walks? My dog I think is mad at me. We are walking the whole neighborhood and he is acting he ran a marathon. @cwalband, before the actual pre-op diet, I visited my favorite restaurants and drank yummy margaritas. Knowing that this will be the last time I can chow down my whole meal. Since 4/18 (1st Consultation) I dropped 9 lbs. hooray
  9. 9.5lbs, that's awesome!! Great job!!! I'll follow this diet and work out and I'll weigh myself the day of surgery. Pls keep me posted. Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 using LapBandTalk
  10. Hello Everyone.... My name is Penny; 29 yrs old and will be banded on Wednesday, July 10th at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. I am currently on my 2 week Pre-op 800 calorie 2 Isopure shakes & a small meal diet. I thought it would be harder but the heartburn is all I'm feeling. The annoying thing is that it's Summer. Birthday parties here, BBQ'S there; so the food & alcohol temptation is everywhere. A nice cup of ice Water with a twist of lemon is my drink of choice. FYI, if you have the ability to work out ex. Gym, walk, jog, run, bike ride etc drink your Protein shakes post work out. The sexy buff guy at GNC explained it helps out with the muscles. But little did he know we need it to shrink our liver for surgery and drop like 10lbs. Lol. Sorry for the long 1st post. I wish everyone a safe surgery & happy painless recovery. Feel free to contact me Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 using LapBandTalk
