  1. I agree with the list of zinhaha. You'll definitely need food woyh substance like sugar free puddings, protein puddings, and hummus. You won't be too hungry initially, but as soon as the band heels you will be starving. Just stay low carb, and concentrate on proteins. Atcg1rl.
  2. I have noticed that on some days I can eat more. There are days where I can't keep anything down at all. I was suprised to hear you can eat 2 eggs in the morning. I can not eat in the morning, without a PB, after hot tea or coffee it loosens for the meal in the midmorning. Glad to hear you are fine. Have your favorite meal before your're filled back up. Just remember to work it off!!!
  3. Well, as I write this I am buzzed off of one glass of wine. I do drink hard liquor, anything that you can think of. I am careful not to over extend on my calories and "sugar" during the day, so I can consume what ever I chose in the evening. I do believe it has slowed my weight loss, but I am losing at a good pace with relation to my fills.:cursing:
  4. Amazing grace, I hope all is well with you, today. I also know my band loosens up pretty well if I do have a hot cup of something. We'll be waiting to see how everything went. Houston is two hours behind Indy, and it sounds like you had a bit of a drive, too.
  5. TheGh0st said it just the way I would have. I am also tight in the morning and thick drinks such as milk or yogurt do not go down, but if I have it any looser than by the end of the day, I too, am ravenous. 9ml in a 10ml band does seem awfully tight, though. I am 2cc's in a 4cc band. Good Luck, stay hydrated and take- drink your vitamins.
  6. Hey, I've been real busy and have missed alot. But can I come too? I was trying to catch up on the threads and I think you guys are going to San Antonio. I do not have to have a roomate if that poses a dilema or if someone is homeless they can fell free to stay with me. Just let me know.
  7. Hey, you look great. I am always eating what I feel like is a pig at night too! I am way too tight in the am. alway pb'ing in the am. Just get your protein in by using shakes during the day but be careful for too many liquid calories.
  8. Judy, You look maaarvelous, darling!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2:
  9. I have not lost anything but it seems my clothing is looser. I confess that I have not been exercising like I should. I am so tired by the time I get home from work and running around with the kids, that I do not take the time for myself. I admire women who can fit it all in. And for all the ladies that ocassionally have a cookie or two...Remember it's not the one or two that makes us fat, it's the whole sleeve! Laura-Stop getting discouraged! You look wonderful and you can really see it in the pics. Especially in your face! Lisa
  10. Hi everyone, On Monday, I went for a fill at my six weeks. I have been starving in bandster hell like everyone else. Only my docter said no fill. She really did not say why but thought that 21lbs was enough to lose in six weeks. Has anyone heard of this? I see plenty of people who have lost more weight than me at their six weeks and you all are getting your fills.
  11. I know everyone has convined you already to run fast away but remember this, his web site was for his practice and you have to be skeptical. Anyone could have been posting on there....like him for instance. Telling how great he is and his bedside manner.
  12. I'm so glad or not so glad to hear that there are other people in band hell like me. I have not been eating too unhealthy, however on the weekends, I have been splurging on a Margarita or two!!! I have been sticking to mostly protein and Lucky for me I love seafood, which is high protein low carb. I grill fish, shrimp with the shell, lobsters and I eat a small portion fo the fixns on the side. Only on the weekends, though. Judy- Wow!!I have been admiring your sucess for awhile now. Jennifur- You are doing great girl, stop worrying when we get our fills, we'll be fine. TracyKS- Hurry back and tell us about you're fill. Haydee- what a great idea clothes sharing. Adorable -we were banded the same time and our pouns are coming off about the same, too.
  13. TracyTX, I can feel your happiness eminating through your email. Like you, I read all the time and most day's can't wait to get to the computer to read all the events of the Shrinking Violets. I don't post much because I'm terrible with the computer. You should see how long it takes me to correct all of the errors I type just to post. Judy-your Great! Lunasa take of yourself first! Please, you'll have so much more of yourself to give. Laura- I'm so happy to see you going thru so many different phases of your life, exciting ! Really just everyone, So motivating,TracyKS! Lisa
  14. Syrah, Im with you...I also had my surgery at a Bariatric Center of Excellence.
  15. There are alot of new theories out there reagarding the band by some very good and prominent doctors in the field. Not all Doc's are requiring liquid for long periods. 5 days post op,I was able to eat and so were alot of people in my support group. You ultimately need to follow your doctors orders and no one elses.
