  1. I had a lap band and have no problems with vomiting or getting food stuck... but then again I am still on liquid... I can bend and move better into certain positions and don't feel like it gets stuck any more when I move.. like I use to .. Sometimes I would feel the band get twisted or prevent me from bending

I had something similar happen to me.. when I had my lap-band done... I didn't get my denial until after the surgery... I don't even get how this is possible after the fact.. I don't understand how they can approve something and then deny it... In my case only %30 of the bill was covered... My surgeon actually ended up eating the cost and The hospital was not allowed to bill me. I still don't understand it all... good luck to you
  3. First of all congratulations on 100 lbs that is amazing! Great job... I am 10 days post op ...your comment made me think of the pre-diet we all do before surgery.. Maybe if you tried that and took it as serious as Pre-surgery maybe that might help kick the cravings .. No caffeine, no sweets., no potatoes, rice... only lean proteins.. and 45 minute walks.. hope that helps... good luck
  4. I'm glad I read this with all the comments.. It definitely (I hope) will help me with my mindset. I didn't know that eating carbs would be so easy to do.. I thought with the sleeve it would provide the restriction I need not to over eat.. Now I know...I hope you can put this behind you and move on to better choices now that you know..
  5. Hi.. I am post op day 10.. I saw my doctor yesterday and unfortunately the acid reflux is just part of the healing process..
  6. Lol he learned his lesson too, after watching me polish that down he has been very supportive. Not wanti g me to screw up a again
  7. Ok so I called the dr. Felt like I was calling the preist and doing a confessional . So all is good. Just to stick to my diet and the pain is probably from gas build up. Yes I did here him chuckle. Lol. Ok no laughing matter but lesson learned. And let me tell you how I got to this point so if anyone else is doing or did the same thing I did maybe they might stop before making this mistake. I started out with my husband insisting I taste a piece of his steak. I did a tiny little sliver. Well nothing happened. So I did it again. And again. Then I ate some cheezets nothing happened but a little gas pain. Then it escalated before you know it I was eating chicken wings and pizza . Ok so obviously the reason why I had this done is because I have poor self control.well a lesson learned. The pain has subsided but ive broke wind quite a few times today. Lol save me from myself.
  8. Was banded on the 18th..things having been going well until tonight..I gave into a temptation and ate chicken wings and some pizza. Suppose to be only eating yogurt consist foods. Yikes now I'm having pain in my lower left side. I did chew really really good. I think the pain is not from tbe food but maybe a ligment.. well I'm on the couch resting... sucks
  9. The pain pill will go do without difficulty. I did not have a problem . I was nervous too. I was able to swallow it whole without breaking it in half. The doctor also told me it would not be a problem, but if I was nervous I could score it. But it wasn't necessary.
  10. That is amazing that you never had a fill an still are meeting your goal. Congratulations on being happy and at goal!

  15. Thanks that actually makes me feel much better to know.. I only really started walking yesterday and maybe over did it a little. I came back home and crashed for 2 hours. Was so drained. I do keep my fluids up and make sure I'm taking in enough protein thru my shakes. So paranoid losing my hair. So I heard the protein is essential in aiding against hair loss.
  16. Hi I am 6 days post op and concerned about 2 things. I am still using pain pills because of the discomfort that I feel from the band. I constantly feel gas pressure on the band which makes it very uncomfortable. I take anatacids too which dont seem to help. ! Also after 4 days I had no bowel movement so took prune juice and milk of mag. Considering I'm on a liquid diet the bowels should just be moving liquid right?. I'm just worried about impaction from no bowel movement for 4 days. I also have to take Milk of mag daily now.
