My port is under my left arm near my breast.

Banded 7/11...down 17 pounds including pre-op diet. Still on clear liquids only: broth, jello, water, and Gatorade. Check up tomorrow and I will see if I can move on to full liquids. No appetite at all. I walk about 45 minutes everyday. Full a little queasy today..don't know why. I had a hernia repaired too. Chest still hurts to swallow jello. GasX is for the birds! Had a BM 2 days ago that was so hard and so painful I don't want another one!!! And I haven't had one!!! I take Dulcolax twice daily and it still didn't really quite help! Ok, let see what else...oh going to take a month off work. Ok that's my intro.

Chest pains on right side...not sure if its just the gas but I can't take really deep breathes....don't want it to be a blood clot!!!

Eating just jello but its not all sugar free jello. And I am drinking broth.

No card to carry. I'm ok. I think I'm drinking too much..I take sips but have been able to drink about 4oz of broth slowly. No weight loss yet...you?

I had surgery Thursday. Gas pains go and come. My port is on my left side under my arm. Pretty tender. I have been eating jello, half sf and half regular and drinking broth. Also Gatorade helps because it's not sf so I don't get dizzy. I'm on hydrocodone. I have a reletex band on for nausea and motion sickness patch. I haven't lost any weight yet or had a bm... Is this normal? I take gasx and walk around the house. Gas pain mostly in right shoulder.

I got my band yesterday. I told them I was nervous and they put some feel good in my IV and I wasn't nervous anymore!!! When it was time to go out they told me "you are going to sleep now!" There was not time to refuse!!! Lol! I woke up in recovery. Felt like a minute had passed by but really it was an hour and a half. Easy peasy!!!!

Gas pains are down. Regular pains are normal. I have been eating jello and drinking Gatorade to help with taking pain meds otherwise I'm not hungry. Thanks Kanna for asking. Lets see I had to take an Emend pill for nausea before surgery (pill cost $56$) for 1 pill!, 2 nausea drugs in my IV, motion sickness patch behind my ear, Reletex band on my arm that lasts for 3 days, and prescription of Ondestron. Got nauseated before leaving hospital. But just a tad after that. Got liquid Loratab. Gasx. What was your day like? Hope you are well. Where is KBush, marieh, and sprinkles?!??!? Y'all alright?!?!

KBush I'm glad you are good! I feel like I have been hit by an 18 wheeler!!!! I had so much anti-nausea meds and the Reletex band and motion sickness patch and still had the nerve to get a little sick. Sipping Gatorade and jello to take pain meds. Gas is not the best so I'm taking my GasX. My nurse who has a band says get on you knees and elbows. Back end up in the air and the gas will try to escape out the highest point...your back end. I may try that tomorrow as for today I am in and out of narcotic sleep!!!

Hey all!!! I went at 830 with surgery at 1130....got home around 3...and I feel like a Mack truck ran me over! Gas pains and hurting pains....I got pain meds..oh also got nauseated when I was leaving the hospital!!! I'm going to lay down. Otherwise...IM BANDED!!!!!! Yay!!!

8:30 check in for me in the morning. I am extremely nervous!!! If you are a praying person please say a prayer for me and I will return the favor to you. I took my "naked" pictures and measurements tonight and wanted to vomit!!! I cannot wait until I can look in the mirror and actually like the person standing in it. I have prayed up my surgeon, technicians, nurses, aesthetician, and everyone else that will have contact with me tomorrow! I will try to get with my 7/11 band buddies to check back in in the evening. I got my Chapstick and GasX on deck just in case I need it. I think I am ready! God bless and good night!

Pre op today. Got prescriptions: 1 pill of Emend....costs $56!!!! Ondansetron and viocidin. I lost a total of 12 pounds and my surgeon said 6 were probably from the liver...yay!!!! I have to be there at 8:30 in the morning.

Ladies....I'm nervous out of my mind!!!! Pre op tomorrow...my scale says I'm down 10 pounds still...ok...NERVOUS!!!!!

Where is your port located? Mine is going up by my left underarm...towards my breast area...sorry trying to explain a part of the body isn't easy. I am so nervous about my liver not being "shrunk" enough. I didn't do a liquid diet although I have started replacing meals with Isopure to get used to it. Over the holiday I ate a little Pasta salad and I shouldn't have. I feel like I'm going to cry!!! I cannot think about having to be rejected because of my liver. I have lost 10 pounds on the diet I have been on since 6/17 so please say a prayer for me...God will know exactly who I am!!! I'm scheduled for 7/11 with preop 7/10. I also decided to stay off work for a month. I'm having a hiatal hernia repaired too. I have been plagued by heartburn for at least 10 years and my hernia, I'm told, is pretty big. Ok, Winkie, I didn't mean to take over your post! Sorry, I just needed to tell someone!!! Thanks for listening.

I had one on my birthday!!! It made me so confident about the surgery since I had to be put to sleep and I was nervous about that part. It was a piece of cake. The sleep felt so refreshing. Mine took about 20 minutes from start to finish.

I am nervous!! I'm Thursday too. I'm scared about my liver and blah blah blah and I just need a Valium right about now!!!!

Excited for you as I go Thursday! I was on sugar busters diet since 6/17 and I never cheated bad just ate some ribs....I will pray I am ok with my liver...I lost 10 pounds but I admire everyone that has been on straight liquids. That itself proves you are ready in my eyes!!! Good luck!
