  1. I think it is from the hernia repair. I had a 10 hour back surgery in May of last year and it didn't make me hoarse. Didn't think about comparing. Thanks!
  2. I had my surgery April 19 along with a hernia (hiatial). I've been hoarse off and on since. Is this normal? I go back for a fill May 20.

  5. My BMI was just under 32. My Dr did require a preoperative liquid diet but I didn't follow it religiously. I would however try to stay away from as many carbohydrates as possible. It really does make a difference in liver size and also a higher protein diet speeds healing.

  13. Ugh....I look like an accident victim. My tummy is a lovely palette of blue, purple, and yellow. It's been a week today sick My surgery. My left shoulder is still killing me. The port site is still sore. I can feel my port AND my band through my skin....I that weird or normal? I go back Mon for a checkup.

  15. Thanks! My temperature went down after lunch yesterday. I'm on antibiotics because I'm still running a temp of 100-101°…feeling better though!
  16. If you would have asked me Fri, Sat, Sun, or before 1:00 yesterday I would have said don't have it done! Of course I had mine done Fri and was back at school Mon morning. I ran a low grade temp for a few days too. But around 1:00 yesterday I started feeling better. Except for the pain in my left shoulder, the occasional gas pain in my stomach, and the restriction I'm feeling so much better. I'm black & blue and my port site is tender but I'm so glad I did this!

  23. I had my surgery yesterday. My tongue has a numb spot on it - left side tip and a little bit up from there. Has anyone experienced this?
