  1. Did anyone have trouble with insurance paying for the actual surgery? I went through the whole ore-authorization process, went to the required doctors appointments, nutritionist, and psychological profiles. Insurance paid for all of that, so the doctors office calls me and tells me that my surgery was per-approved. I have my surgery on 3/27. The insurance pays for the doctors, but my actual surgery was not approved. As of today, my insurance has paid nothing on the actual surgery, saying it was ' not approved'.
  2. Congratulations.. My mom had her surgery about 2 years ago, and I just had mine on 3/27/13..Since she had already been through it, she was alot of help for me. I wish now that I had did mine when she did, but I was reluctant, and insistent upon trying other ways..
  3. I am also having the same problem. I tried the same shakes that I had pre-op, and they give me a upset stomach, so I've tried various other options after surgery. Still the same result, if I drink any protein I have a upset stomach. Luckily I'm moving to soft foods today, so I'm going to try to get my protein through food. Is this normal, or something that I should be concerned with?
  4. Good Luck...you will feel better in a few days once the pain goes away...
  5. Mine is 2 weeks full liquids, 2 weeks puréed, and then 2 weeks soft foods..

  7. I just had the surgery as well, on a Wednesday. I could have honestly went back to work on Monday, but I was tired and pretty much out of energy, so I took a few extra days.
