  1. Ok girls and guys I have a question. I had my first fill on Wednesday. I had 3cc in the bad after surgery and they tried to get my up to five on Wednesday but when I drank water I can fill the gurgle in my chest. I take it that it was not going down as it should. I ended up getting only .5 cc. Weight loss started back however everything is still going down sooo easy it seems to me. Is this normal? Has anyone every experience this? I was told at the doctors office that sometimes when one gets fills it can irritate the stomach the first few times. Can anyone shed some light on this situation. Thanks in advance
  2. Ok girls I have a question. I purchase Welchs grape juice because on the package it said no added sugar.......why I look at the ingridiants and it says 45 grams. I read more and its saying its the natural fruit sugars. Is that bad? Should I not drink it?
  3. I do owe you an apology. I made an mistake. I guess I was so out of it I thought I heard him say he didn't fill it. I had 3cc's in it and they tried to add 2 more but it made me to tight so I ended up getting just .5 cc's. I go back in 4 weeks to get another adjustment.
  4. IM sorry to hear that my hair is doing just the opposite it is so think and full until I have to use a super perm on it lol
  5. Well ladies I am getting ready to head to Dr. Hollis office to get my fill. I am so excited and hungry cause I can only have liquids until the fill lol I will report back later to let you all know how it went.
  6. 150 to 200 calories us nothing. How long and what do you do. On my treadmill up Jill at 3.5 angle going 2:6 speed I burn almost 2000 calories. That sandwich and coffee maybe 200 calories and if all your burning is 150 to 200 you won't lose. To lose weight you have to burn more calories your taking in.
  7. I hear a few people every now and then say that they are in pain. I had no pain. In fact I didn't even get my pain medicine filled. Are you still in pain? How are you feeling?
  8. no one can tell you when you should return to work. Your body is different than the next person. Myself im s teacher so im lucky to have the summers off that's why I waited until June to have the surgery. However, I was driving within 3 days and going to the grocery store for a little shopping. Just listen to your body and do what you can.
  9. If your getting your fills and your hunger Is controlled with exercise you should be losing. How many calories are you taking in per day versus how long and how many calories your burning during your exercising? How are you eating habits? what are you eating on a daily basis?
  10. im on the pill and its working fine. NO weight gain at all.
  11. No problem every doctor is different.
  12. Yes I only had to pay $1360 with the other doctor. We drove to Dallas on Thursday meet with doctor he did surgery Friday we drove back home right after I left hospital.
  13. everyone will not be successful at the band. This surgery as well as all others has risk. The risk is very small compared to bypass and sleeve. I had no problems with my surgery I was up the third day driving and going to the store. Every person is different but believe me it was a piece of cake for me. I am happy I did it and would od it again if I had to.
  14. I was on liquids for the first week, second week soft diet then third week regular food as tolerated.
  15. My doctor was adamant as well about me losing weight pre surgery as well. I did lose pre surgery also. Dr. Hollis is my doctor but I went to Dallas to another doctor he know so I would not have to pay that $5000 deductible BCBS was requiring.
  16. I started at 270 then lost 10 for pre op got down to 247 after surgery was going good then KA BAM ! ! ! LOL swelling went down appetite came back. I made healthy choices though gain back a few but I am so looking forward to this fill on tomorrow
  17. No fill during surgery. I ask Rachel my advocate at true results ( Dr. Hollis) and she said that most doctors do not fill during surgery because they want to give your stomach time to heal. Some doctors do and some doctors don't. Why do you ask? Is that something you never heard of before??? even though Dr Hollis is going to be doing my follow up care Dr Marsden Dallas did my surgery and he wanted to make sure his patients stomach healed properly before adding fluid because of the risk of scar tissue some may get and I also had a hiatal hernia repaired during my surgery.
  18. No green zone. Are you kidding me??? I have several people I work with and two neighbors that has had this surgery and 5 of them are 7 years post op and has lost a gang of weight and kept it off. My next door neighbor los 175 lbs in 13 months and its been 6 years for her. I never heard of this one year success rate. Where did you get this information from?
  19. This is great. I printed out the chart and have it over my treadmill and my fridge. Thanks ! ! ! Very Helpful ! !
  20. My sister had the lose skin removed after her gastric bypass and I/we were wondering is it anything that can be used to help with that giant horrible scar that is left after surgery. Any input will be appreciated. I may need to have excess skin removed but im so afraid because I don't want to be left with that huge scar.
  21. I hope it is the magic number for you good luck ! ! !
  22. Yes girlfriend I have to be there at 1pm. Also, my advocate told me before I leave to make my appointment for 3 weeks after that and to be sure to keep it because if I miss it will be another 3 or 4 weeks so we all have to be sure to keep out appointments ladies ! ! ! ! My 3rd week after surgery everything went down easy to but I got full fast not its like I don't even have a band lol Just make healthy choices don't no junk food and sodas you should be fine. I know now I am eating like every two hours but I try to grab fruit in between or cottage cheese with fruit. I love that
  23. The swelling has gone down from the surgery that's why it seems like you can eat like you use to. Once you get your fill you should be fine. I messed up once or twice but it happens when it is time for your fills that's why you have to stay on top of getting them.
