  1. Thanks for replying everyone. That gas was a killer the first night. It was right in the center right up under the diagram and I thought I was going to die. But finally feel asleep about 4 am and woke up and it had moved so I know it was gas. I am taking Gas-X as well. It has moved to my shoulders and chest now. Its like when I take a deep breath I can feel it. I do get up and walk. I feel good today and I think I am going to go to the store and do a little walking to get it moving some more.
  2. I finally got banded on Friday. It was a breeze. No problems at all. THE GAS ! ! ! ! Is the killer lol I have taken pictures the night before surgery and I am so excited on this new journey I am taking. his is day 2 post op and I am not hungry at all. Good right? lol If anyone have any advice on how to get this gas out of me fast I would appreciate it.
  3. Good talking to you yesterday. AS I said the surgery was a breeze. No problems at all. However girls the GAS is murder. I am now feeling a little just a little tenderness on the incision site. But once I get this gas out of me things should be fine. I was not hungry at all yesterday. I had to latterly make my self take a spoon of pudding (sugar free) and I could have tuna on water with light mayonnaise which I only could take a couple of spoons. this morning im getting up moving around to try to get this gas to moving and make some oatmeal which I know I am only going to be able to eat a few spoons but hey that's all good to me lol
  4. Ok ladies back home doing well. Not hungry at all. Only thing that's bothering me is a little gas and that's about it. Starting the recovery period. If anyone wants.to call me inbox me. Good night for now
  5. Yeeees thanks. Headed to hospital now lol I will post later
  6. Yes girl I'm in the hotel resting and waiting I loss 10 lbs on the pre op have to be at hospital at 10. Yea!!!!!!
  7. Dr office just called. I have to be at hospital at 10am instead of noon. So surgery is going to be early on Friday than I expected.
  8. Hey there!!!! Yes, 2 more days. Still doing pre op and I've lost more unless the scale is broke lol We will leave Houston in the morning about this time. I will see Dr Marsden at 2pm tomorrow and surgery at 2pm Friday.
  9. My insurance didn't require that but the one I had before did. I had to write down everything I ate and see a nutritionist on visits so she could tell me what I was eating wrong and guide me.
  10. Yes, I'm going to take pictures the evening before surgery. Dr. Marsden has a facebook page and I've been getting a lot of support from his staff and past patients. They've only had great things to say about him.
  11. Well ladies 5 days to go. I am having a bowl of cereal and watching the Cosby show lol I tell you this pre op Dr Marsden gave me is better then the one Dr. Hollis crew gave me. I am have for breakfast my choice of 2 eggs, whole grain cereal, toast, fruit, bagel, waffle, muffin or yogurt. I think this is really making the pre op much easier. Meal 2 is the protein drink, meal 3 is the 1 serving of meat and a green veggie then meal 4 protein drink. Then if I get hungry through the day I can have sugar free jello, sugar popsicles, veggies ( carrots celery or broccoli)
  12. Congrats ! ! I am June 14th. I am so excited. Good Luck ! ! ! !
  13. Moms will be moms. Mine was the same way. Even my co worker said I don't see why you are doing this. True I don't look my weight with my height in person but its still there. I don't want to be "skinny" If I can go from a size 18 to a 12 I will be a brick house hahahaha
  14. I had to have a EDG because of my chronic heartburn I been having for about a year and come to find out I have a hernia. That will be repaired during the lap band placement. No documentation needed I saw the nutritionist the first day of my consultation. Everything was done on that same say except for the EDG and I schedule that myself with a GI doctor because it was cheaper than true results doing it.
  15. I was told drinking out of a straw at any phase of the surgery would cause you to intake some air which will cause gas and be uncomfortable. Not sure about the cold water.
  16. I have BCBS with high blood pressure but mu BMI was high as well. It took about 5 weeks for my approval.
  17. Thanks girl. I been doing some walking everyday myself and I'm going to get out in the yard and do some work. I'm getting ready to have a shake now
  18. Hi How are ya? How have things been with your band?
  19. I'm so proud of myself. Went to waterburgers to get my mother some breakfast and I didn't get anything. Well an orange juice that's it.
