  1. Glad to hear you are doing so well... Since you do not like sweets, have you tried broth or strained soup? I will soon be on the hunt for a different protein shake, I know after Thursday (my last day of pre-op) I will never drink another EAS protein shake again...
  2. Good Luck BigTex and anyone else going in this week... please let us know how you are doing we will be anxiously waiting to hear. I am Friday
  3. Excellent loss, way to go! Today is day 11 of 15 days of pre-op for me and I have been getting on the scale just about every day - I feel like i need something to say that this is all worth it - I am down 13lbs.
  4. Sounds like you are doing amazing - I'm with you on the finding out who I am without the weekend food events - I have always been great during the week, come the weekend I like my outings with my daughter, she is 17, and they always include a meal. My confession - I gave in today - my energy level was just awful, so I ate about 2/3 cup of grilled chicken and 3 bites of a salad. I am stuffed - I guess 11 days on shakes has shrunk my stomach - Yayyyy!!! 1st NSV for me! Lets keep in touch - I love all the support on here, it is amazing!
  5. I am so sorry to hear of everything you are going through, however it sounds like you have a great Doctor attending to you right away. Good luck with everything, I will be sending prayers your way. Vent away, we are all here for you!
  6. Awesome I work in Brandon. Good luck to you.... its so nice to know we are not on this journey alone and have others who understand.
  7. Hang in there, I cannot even imagine the roller coaster ride you are going through post surgery emotionally and physically. I know you will do amazing.
  8. I didn't have to do an upper GI, thank goodness because at this point I probably would have puked with that stuff. Sorry you had to go through that.
  9. Mine went well also, for some reason it made it all so real. Now it is countdown time, I am ready.
  10. I'm the 14th as well.... and dying to chew on something as well. I do just fine until I smell food... 6 more days to go.
  11. Pre-Op for me this morning, one step closer! Getting excited for the new me. solson8201and utkscvol1 - How did your's go?
  12. Be careful! Please let me know how it goes.
  13. Keep it up everyone we will do this... I'm on day 7 and it hasn't been fun! I'm restricted to shakes, sf jello, sf Popsicles, and broth. It's better, but still not easy, the worse part is wanting something to chew on. We are all getting closer!!
  14. When using blending or juicing, is there any concern with extra air and it causing problems with the band? I love my protein shakes!!!!
  15. Day 3 of pre-op and I'm hanging in there, but am kinda of wishing I could have something to chew on. I am not hungry so it is all mind over matter!! I am drinking several shakes a day (EAS, not Optifast as others I see from the same practice). I'm also having a jello or popsicle here and there... any other suggestions? On a good note, I'm down 7lbs already.
  16. We have the same Dr on the same day!!!
  17. Not so bad, just had a shake for dinner. Maybe some Jello or Popsicle later. I haven't felt hungry. How about you?
  18. I'm June 14th, start my liquids tomorrow. I'm so excited.
