  2. De Larla I am so sorry to hear that your port incision never healed. I did not know that. Are you okay? Magnolia
  3. Thanks for your reply but I just noticed that it says you had your port removed? May I ask why? You didnt have it that long ???
  4. Hmmmmmmmmm now I am wondering if I have been doing something wrong here? I have been substituting with Pelligrino low carbonated water drink that was recommended in the after surgery booklet. I have no prob drinking it and I am banded at 2.cc presently. If I continue does this mean I will have erosion? Anyone out there know? Now I am confused for sure I thought I was doing the right thing.
  5. Hmmmmmmm is that why this past year I have been growing hair in not the usual places??? geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez what else do I have to look forward to? LOL
  6. thanks everyone................no worries about a change of life baby............
  7. This is to all you ladies out there.........it has been well over a year and a half since my last menustration so I thought okay I am now in menopause but lo and behold nope.........I started again last night. My question is has this happened to anyone else after thier lapband? I have only lost 33 lbs since May of this year so it isn't like I have dropped a considerable amount of weight. I know weight loss and gain can affect your hormone levels but .......geeeeeeeeeez.......anyone out there have an answer for me??? Thanks. :cry
  8. Yeah, if all else fails try the pnut butter even chunky kind.....for your Protein..its great..... Magnolia
  9. Greg I dont know I only know I could not tolerate the mac and cheese due to being restricted but now I can eat it a little too easily....I am scheduled for a fill next wednesday so we shall see. I still cant eat bread which is good since it is one of my trigger foods..
  10. This is quite interesting........all of a sudden I can eat mac and cheese why is that? Yeah, I know I shouldn't eat it but isn't it strange that I can now?? Anyone else discover this ??? Dunno.......
  11. okay thanks everyone I do need to exercise more so maybe that is it I will start writing it down thanks again..........guess this means I am not ready to wear a thong yet huh??? LOL geeeeeeeeeez now there's a visual!!!!!!
  12. To date it has been four months and three fills since my surgery total weight loss is 33 lbs from May 25- to today. Shouldn't I be losing more????
  13. You mean all this time I could have drank water before my meals?
  14. Has anyone noticed a change in thier drinking water before and after fills? I can now drink water a half hour before or after a meal is this okay to continue to do???
  15. Thanks everyone! Again, point taken I need to get back on track.......I realize it must have been an emotional thing or hormonal take your pick....but ice cream goes down way too easy for me so now I know better. The funny thing is I really did not have a problem with it in the past prior to the banding it was mostly carbs..potatoe chips..salty stuff bread pasta that kind of thing that I clearly cannot eat now. It used to be I would really want the bread and pasta I craved it so now I look at it and say ouch that is gonna hurt going down so I look at it differently. Thank you everyone for your insight.....now I need to get back to exercising too...
  16. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeez! What the heck was I thinking??? I ate...........dare I say it??? a whole entire godiva chocolate ice cream you know the kind in the small containers. Yep, and now I feel like yuuuuuuuuck why did I do that? I sat down to watch my favorite show and thought you know it has been quite a while since I have had some ice cream so I got up and decided to have just a few bites...well the rest is history I ate the entire container! It has been four months since my surgery I have lost a total of 33 lbs but now I feel like I really screwed up has anyone else done something dumb like this?? Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez talk about a trigger food I didnt even know I liked ice cream that much it just happened....
  17. Bread, tortillas, beef, tacos, chips, all the things your not supposed to eat anyway right? Oh yeah I almost forgot eggggggggggggggggs! LOL I tried the scrambled egg whites too but they still dont go down. That makes total sense about the eggs not dissolving. I never thought of that. I can drink Pelligrino water but I cant handle sodas...dunno?
  18. I have a question. Is anyone out there having trouble with scrambled eggs? I was banded May 25 of this year currently at 2 cc's third fill but I cannot eat scrambled eggs yet Peanut Butter (the chunky variety is no problem) why is that? Dunno???????????
  19. Thanks everyone for the information! It helps a lot! So, my 60-90 grams of protein per day is enough?
  20. Okay I get it now protein powder it sounds awful but where do I get it and why cant I just mix low fat milk and a banana to get protein without using the powder? Is this a dumb question? I am still learning.... help...
  21. thanks everyone for the feedback but I still dont know how many meals you eat on one day?
  22. I typically have two meals a day is this normal? I usually am not hungry in the morning so I have about two cups of coffee then get hungry (not ravenous like before...just a bit) so I concentrate on having my minimum of 60 grams of protein a day so it could be eggs, pnut butter, cheese...getting really bored with the food routine any suggestions? Thanks@
  23. Thanks everybody. It really helps to hear other people having the same experiences. Yes I have lost inches and weight but not that much so I don't think it is that. Going in for my third fill tomorrow so we shall see what the surgeon says...thanks again everyone it was driving me nuts....LOL:D
  24. Okay, I have a question. I was banded May 25 of this year and after the surgery did not or could not find my port. Now, nearing three months after surgery I can suddenly feel the port it feels like a nub just above the incision. Initially, when I had my first fill I could of sworn it was below that particular incision. Did it move? Or am I going nuts? Does anyone else out there have the same experience?
