geeeeeeeeeez I must be a dork. meant to say burger not buger LOL. also how do I stay logged on for this lapband forum? everytime I go to it to read I have to log on each time..........thanks again....also I am going on vacation end of july should I wait to have another fill until I get back? what about alcohol is it okay to have margarita on vacation?

Thanks for the info although I still dont get it does 1cc mean that it wasnt filled enough? I dont think it is since today I could easily eat a small turkey buger patty, tomatoe, smashed avocado, pickle and half an ear of corn with no problem. so what do I do now? Go back and have the doctor refill? My stomach is black and blue from the first port fill should I wait? Please help somebody, Thanks I am still trying to figure out this reply thing it took me forever to find my initial msg when i want to reply to someone how do I do it? I had my first fill yesterday and it was unpleasant. The surgeon did it in his office, he couldnt find the port so it took several attempts (five ) to find it finally so it did hurt each time he tried he had to numb it again. He was very apologetic and nice about it but it did hurt more than I thought it would. I asked him if I could bring a camera with me and he asked me why? I said so the next time some idiot says geez must be nice to have that surgery and lose weight instead of doing it the hard way...I can show them a photo of me with the needle sticking out inside my port! Just my two cents.

I have a question what does 1cc fill mean? I had my first fill yesterday but does that mean how much saline was filled or that is the size of my stomach? I read on this forum that someone is having thier lapband removed from erosion how did that happen? Is that dangerous? Magnolia

This has been my experience on who to tell? I just had my lapband done May 25th and initially told just immediate family members and two close friends. I was reluctant to tell a sister who quite frankly, has been condescending relative to my weight gain over the past ten years. To my surprise.... my two close friends were more than supportive and did have the capacity and sensitivity to understand the weight struggle (they both have weight issues but are not considered morbidly obese as I am.) My point being, I for one, am glad I chose to take a leap of faith and tell them because I do have thier support and it helps a lot, with one caveat, do not tell people that you know are not supportive or opportunistic in trying to sabatoge your weight loss journey. Just my two cents.
