  1. Thank you. I have been posting my experiences on the thread my journey starting with pre op diet. Let me know how your doing.
  2. My doctor won't do the surgery if my blood sugar levels are high. I was given insulin and take my regular pills to bring down my sugar, but trust me your sugar will come down with this liquid diet. I had to drink apple juice today at the dietician office since my sugar dropped to low. You should be good to go by surgery.
  3. So today is my 2nd day on my liquid diet. I must admit last night was hard. I had hunger pains all night and could not sleep. I'm down to 267 according to my scale, but I seen the dietician today and her scale said 265. I can only take 3 protein shakes a day, because they make me feel nauseous. My dietician gave me a 4oz apple juice due to my sugars being low, and that made my stomach hurt. Since I am only taking 3 shakes the dietician said I can have 1/4 of egg whites a day, I'm so excited I get to get something. I will save the egg whites for dinner since I'm more hungry at night. Besides the hunger pains I woke up with a headache and felt light headed, but I think that is from my low blood sugar. I'm feeling better now and we shall see how the rest of the day goes.
  4. Thanks so much for the info. I mix my shakes in a shaker, I hope that doesn't cause air.
  5. My surgery is on May 1st too!
  6. Well it's the end of the day and I made it through my first day on the liquid diet. I was feeling a little hungry earlier, but I took a nap and that helped. The worst part was at dinner time. Smelling all the food cooking and not eating at the table with my family was the hardest part. I must admit that I really just wanted to take one bite, but I stayed strong and did not cheat at all. I had 3 shakes, 2 cans of beef broth, 1 sugar free jello, 1 sugar free Popsicle, and lots of water. Will see how tomorrow goes.
  7. Those sound good. I will have to check those ones out.
  8. Your welcome. I know how you feel I'm nervous to, but at the same time just want to get this weight loss going.
  9. I take GNC Total Lean 25 shakes and they taste amazing.
  10. Hello everyone. I thought I would share my experience from the start with everyone. Today is my first day on my liquid diet, and so far so good. I will be banded on May 1st. I woke up hungry, but quickly made my protein shake and was satisfied. I picked out two really good flavors; banana and orange cream. Can't really say I miss food yet. I was going to take my son for a walk, but it is raining so I plan on using the treadmill. My starting weight is 270.
  11. I get real moody too and I'm newly diabetic so I'm worried about my sugar levels and my meds while on the pre op diet.
  12. I hope it gets better for you JennaSota. Let me know if it gets any better. Any headaches?
  13. I will post my pre op diet experience as I go through it, so you kinda get an idea how I feel. Hope that helps before you start your pre op diet on Monday.
  14. I start my pre op diet on Wednesday. Just wondering how everyone's mood is on the pre op liquid diet? I know for me on low calorie diets I get very angry and feel like crap after a few days.
  15. May 1st for me in Kansas and then I'm moving to California in June before my first fill. I'm so scared to have the surgery, but I'm looking forward to losing the weight.
