Any one having trouble with their significant other after surgery?
So far my wife has been very supportive taking off to be at meeting/appointment/dr visit. However, she has been slipping in here and there "Are you going to leave me or cheat when you lose this weight". It was in a laughing joking way the 1st few times but seems to be getting a little more stern as I grow closer to surgery. I hope she really doesn't feel this way.

WLS costs?
This insurance stuff gives me a headache. Only thing I understood was the bottom line price. The EOB's and whatnot are confusing :-(

WLS costs?
Its scary how insurances very so much. All I pay is $35 each office visit (Nut, Diatician, Psych Eval), EGD was a little over $100 after insurance and $435 after insurance for the Sleeve Procedure. Glad I signed up for the higher package.

$8200! What?!?!
Wow I was quoted at $461, thats a huge difference. But I'm sure its worth every penny.

Journey Update
Yesterday morning I had my EGD test. I really didn't expect this to be as hard as it was. Just an overall bad morning, first they call and say my surgeon who I've been seeing and comfortable with was busy and they've found a replacement if I can come RIGHT NOW. Who rushes a patient to a surgery or procedure, I mean I was still processing the fact that I was going through this procedure. I get there and by the time I sit down in the lobby there saying come on back. They did the prep work in what had to be record time and the next thing I know the Dr. asked if I had any question and before I could even anwser I was out. Next thing I remember is sitting at home and my new puppy jumping on my back. Really makes me scared about the whole procedure because some as simple as a EGD has me in such pain. At lease i'm at my half way point of the 90 day wait and the only thing left the psych. test which I had to reschedule and one more meeting with my Nut and then hopefully a July surgery. Sorry that was so long

A year and a half out and feeling like I am losing control
This Fast Diet @SkinnyMalink speaks of sounds very interesting and darn good lol. Is there a max amount of calories we can intake after we have the sleeve done? Sorry I'm brand new to this whole process, but that'd seem like a lot of calories to try and take in per day.

What Made You Choose the Sleeve?
Hi, I'm just wondering what made some of you guys in the community choose the sleeve over the other numerous WLS options. Just trying to learn more about you guys in the community and maybe find out some more benefits of having the procedure. I'm personally choosing this option because it seems to where I want to go with my life and I mentally couldn't get my head around the bypass or having foreign objects left in side me. Also felt I would lose the weight at a much slower rate with the band and I'm trying to get ahead of health complications before they catch up to me so an abundant amount of time isn't something that I have even at the young age of 30. (Sorry if this post twice the site is acting up a little on me today)

Hi All
I felt the same way while I was there. Then he took the time to go over all the pros vs cons and it was a no brainer. I had no idea that at some point with the band there was a 75% chance they'd have to do another procedure down the line. After skiming this form I really think this is going to be the best option for me.

Hi All
Hi, I'm new to the site. Was going to go with the lapband until I had my 1st consultation yesterday and my surgeon and I agreed the sleeve would work quicker and better for me. Look forward reading all your post and getting you guys advice. Thanks
