    ? for the women

During menstruation do you tend to gain weight or loss weight? I have been trying to stay on track with my meal schedule and I do zumba every night Monday-Friday but I seem to put on weight instead of take it off these past 2 weeks. Anyone know about this?

    ? for the women

Thank you ladies so I guess this does happen to everyone in one way or another. I thought maybe I wasn't doing enough or taking in to much.y weight didn't really go up but it's been at a stand still so hopefully after this pass I will see some difference.
  4. Gm bandsters, I woke up this morning and decided to weigh myself but low and behold no lbs lost. Eveytime I look in the mirror I see a difference in my shape. Looks smaller to me but why aren't those lbs dropping? Does this happen to anyone? Surgery date Feb 21, 13 lost 15 lbs then back up 4lbs. What's going on?.

  6. Msseven when is your first fill scheduled for?
  7. Hello everyone, I started out at 276lbs and I got my lap band Feb 21 2013. I did great the first 2 days post op because I had no pain, no appetite and I was losing weight. 6 days post op my appetite started coming back, cravings for sweets and I had my first appt/checkup. I lost total of 15 pounds going down to 262 but now I am going back up, currently 267 and I crave for food, I eat almost anything, and I have no discipline. I vomit once already cause the food would not go down after a couple bites. Everytime I eat dinner I get a stuck feeling and I have to stop and let it work its way down and then continue. I need some help and suggestions. Did my band slip already or is this normal??

Dani I think you are right. I do need to have it out with myself and that's just what I been doing starting today fighting back eating junk. My day usually consist of no breakfast, gram crackers at lunch, cereal when I get home and dinner is fairly good, meat, side and vegetable. Then maybe cookies or cake before bed. I have to break that snacking and try to input meals so I won't be craving sweets.
  9. I am about 3 weeks post op to and I feel the same exact way about my band slipping. I think it's my nerves more than anything because I know I have done some wrongful eating lately but not overeating because I get that stuck feeling so I can't over eat. However, I lost 15lbs so far and I just read on here today that was motivation for me "listen to your body and not your brain" I am not hungry as much as my mouth and brain tells me because my stomach is not growling. Good luck. We come to far to mess up now. Stay focus
  10. Congrats on your decision to get the lap band. I am a newbie myself as of Feb 21. Let me just say I highly doubt your doctor will turn you away after making the incisions. A bit more advice just follow what they say for pre op. I personally did not have to follow a diet plan pre op but I do have one post op and it is tough for me knowing how much of a junk food addict I am. Good news tho, I an 15lbs down in that short time and I feel great. I have a long way to go but I can do it and so can u. The first step is realizing your are uncomfortable and the second step is taking action. You are on the right track. I wish you well with your surgery. Keep me posted. Trust me everything will be fine. After surgery you won't want to eat bit a few weeks into it those hunger pains come back and I say get up and do something, but don't give in.

    My success story

Hello, sorry to hear what happen to you. I'm a new bandster but I would say to just stay strong and try to remember the things you use to do to keep control over your habits. Make a meal plan, exercise and simply maintain it. Easier said than done, I know. How did you know your band was causing you this problem??

Ok I don't feel bad knowing that my appetite coming back is normal. I was on tea up until Monday and now I have been snacking, a very bad habit of mine. My doc, did give me a diet plan but it's hard to follow because he wants me to stop snacking and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nothing in between. All my meals is suppose to have protein, no calorie drinks, and no starch, just meat and vegetables. I will try those support groups and come Monday I will call.
  13. Don't be afraid to eat (all the right foods). I too just got banded in February and I was scared to eat and I had no appetite. I was drinking so much tea until I was sick of it. I was cranky, did not have hunger pains but just drank tea. However, it's only been 2-3 weeks and I think I started eating to soon now my cravings are coming back. I wish u well.
