I am facing the same thing right now. I am at a 40.3 BMI with comorbidities that are not on the insurance list, but my surgeons says mine usually count with this insurance company. With comorbidities I can get down to a 35, without them I'd need to be a 40. I am safe as long as I don't dip below 40 BMI, that is a 2 pound change from my last appointment. My surgeons office said if I gain at all, the insurance company will deny the surgery and if I lose more than those 2 lbs I lose my surgery. My final appointment is in 3 weeks and I am weighing myself daily, Im really worried that I will lose my surgery
