Thats great at least you didnt gain with eating more. I have no clue how many steps i walk each day. Congrats on your weight loss so far- hoping for fill #2 on friday
Well thank you. My 6 month supervised diet is included in those numbers. Total loss since banded is 37 pounds!!!- hoping for fill #2 on friday
I have an appt with my dr's PA on Friday. She is one tough cookie, but im hoping i can get a fill. I have tried and tried and she turns me down. I cant wait until december when i can confront my surgeon on this issue.- June 2013 Bandsters - How are you doing?
I agree with the weights. I go to the gym and there is not very woman that go to the weights. Mostly men. But i do have 2 25pound weights at home that i could use. I just think my arms will be flabby no matter what. They are already flabby so not.much i can do about that . I would rather do 20 more minutes on another machine than.lift weights lol- June 2013 Bandsters - How are you doing?

Well thats great. I would think you are very close to green. I dont do weights just yet. I sometimes play around with them at the gym for literally like 2 minutes. They are very intimidating!! But i no i need to start. Im not at all complaining about the.weight loss. It is a great feeling to lose. I just know my body and i think i need a fill and that might be the extra boost i need, although the PA does not agree. I still follow the rules. I log everything on MFP as well and weigh.myself each week.- June 2013 Bandsters - How are you doing?
Thank you!! I go to the gym 3-4 times each week and work my butt off. Although i only lost 37 pounds since being banded, my total loss since my 6 month diet starting in january is 66 pounds. Yes my PA is very very strict....there is also someone else that goes to the same PA and is having the same issue with fills. This is why i set up an appt with my surgeon. I dont like the fact that i never see her. It seems that everyone here see's there surgeon but i have to see a PA and im pretty sure its billed the same way.- June 2013 Bandsters - How are you doing?
No not in the green. My PA will not fill me. She thinks because i am loosing 4-8 pounds a month i am "fine" i have an appt to see her on friday and im going to ask her for a fill. Everytime she says your band is fine. She also said they dont like to fill bands past 5cc. I have 4cc in my band...this is very discouraging. I think she tortures me because i am still hungry between meals but she doesnt care. I have an appt with my surgeon in december to get her take on this.- Pittsburgh?

Im jumping in on the convo...surgery june 18th down 37 pounds since surgery with 1 fill of 4cc- Last appointment w Doc before lapband - Questions to ASK??
Is there any Fluid put in your band at surgery? How long for a fill after surgery? What brand band will be used? (After surgery question) If there is a limit on how many cc's are filled in your band- Well, hello there old jeans!
That is awesome. I actually saved some of my favorite jeans from when i was in a 12 i have not tried them on yet but man do they look tempting in my closet.- and nutrition evaluation
My psych eval was a general chat and my nutrition consult was easy. Both were fine.- Surgery in an hour!
Congrats!! And good luck see you on the other side. You will be fine.- Just filled again: Leak? New Procedure?
I only had one fill but this is how my PA did my fill.- No PreOp Diet???
I didnt have a preop diet. I ate light the day before surgery just because. I was 230 when i had surgery.- Haven't told anyone yet
I only told my bf sister and a friend at work. Plus all of the people on here. I told my boss i was having a hernia repair. No one at work knows. I dont like sharing my business with many.people. There have been some questions at work like you lost weight what r u doing and i say exercise like crazy and eating right. That is the truth.- Realize band C?
The PA spends alot of time with me i think about 30~45 mins. She looks at an entire month of mfp logs and goes over each day. I get hungry in between.meals because i eat low cal everything. My meals are typically 300 cals each. She wanted me to increase my cals, but its kinda hard because i eat the same thing basically everyday. The only thing i thought about was getting a higher calorie yogurt i currently eat the 80 cal 2~3 times each day. I just dont see the point in eating extra cals in yogurt when you can get the same amount of Protein for less cals. I have phone calls to.make monday morning for sure. This is my typical day Breakfast Yogurt String cheese 1/4 cup granola (not aloud anymore) lunch 4oz turkey breast Flat out wrap String cheese 1/2 cup fruit dinner 4~5 oz chicken breast 1/4 cup bread crumbs 1 cup.veggies Snacks Yogurt String cheese 1oz pretzels (not allowed anymore) I do not eat more than 12 oz at one time- Realize band C?
I will call and see. The NUT is at the same place as the surgeon, they want everyone on the same page. So she might say the same thing but ill give it a try. I just dont see how a 1/4 cup of granola in my yogurt "messes" with my hunger. Oh well. Thanks for all your help.- Realize band C?
Also she said to eat more Snacks because i was only eating about 900 cals per day. She said this might be why im hungry. She also yelled at me because last month she told me to increase my cals to at least 1000. I did try. I added low fat granola to my yogurt and 1oz pretzels as a snack. Both she said are simple carbs and to NOT eat them. Ok ok i get it. Off the shopping list. She wants me to add another yogurt, cheese stick instead of the granola and pretzels. I am already getting anywhere from 90~115 g of Protein daily. Ughhh......- Realize band C?
I completely agree with you thats why i posted this question. It just doesnt make sense to me either. She said they "dont fill any realize c band past 5cc". Im just like why would they even use it then.because what if i.need more than 5cc. I am losing good weight so that is not my concern. But if my band can hold 11cc im just not sure why they wouldnt utilize it. I have not seen my surgeon since the day of discharge. Got my band in june. Every time i go.for a visit i see the PA every time. I go back in october to see the PA again, she has me printing mfp logs everyday as well as weighing weekly and writing my exercise down. She.looks at everything goes over it with me. Then says i think your band is fine see you in 4~6 weeks. Im going to see if when i go back in november i can actually see my surgeon to see what she says. Since im not going to get a fill anytime soon. - June 2013 Bandsters - How are you doing?
