  1. Ditto B52. I work out on a empty stomach, drinking 40 oz water. On my way home from the gym I eat a protein bar, when I get home I make a very healthy protein packed breakfast, usually egg beaters with string cheese. This usually helps alot!!! Also after working out you dont want to wait to long before you get some source of protein in, I must have a protein bar as my recovery workout snack until I can get home to make breakfast.
  2. Haha!!! I dont really pay attention to others carts but I usually stock up on things like yogurt, string cheese, etc....the cashier always says "someone likes yogurt" before the band they used to say "im coming home with you" of course my cart then was filled with bad food.
  3. Wow what a amazing story. You look great!!
  4. I tried to drink cold and hot water, I would have to say that nasty hot water seemed to work a little, but It just sucks overall to be stuck. I am listening to my band and can tell when it tells me "dont even think about it" lol.
  5. Good job, and happy 1 year, I hope to have lost 100 pounds by the time I reach my 1 year. I have the same issues with who I see in the mirror, its just one of those things I need to get over I guess.
  6. Amazing transformation!! You look great!!
  7. For my first fill it was 4cc, I did not tell much of a diffrence. But I had 3 fills total with 6cc in my band and think im getting close.
  8. I never throw any goodies away, I will take extras to work to get them out of the house.
  9. I too am a sucker for chocolate and peanut butter. I did great and am now having my protein filled breakfast.
  10. Well its about 1 am and I did endulge a little but not since after midnight, I do the whole midnight is a new day type of thing because techmically it is. The stuff is still sitting here, I had my share and am not intrested in anymore. I have my yogurt, and egg beaters for Breakfast that I will eat in a couple of hours, about 5 am. If I get hungry before then I have an extra yogurt in my lunch bag. Back to my normal day again, Im so glad I have the willpower to say no more.
  11. So this is the spread that a wonderful family brought in for us wonderful staff members, she must of loved her daylight nurse. I already cracked and ate a couple pieces, but tomorrow is a new day. I hate coming to work and there is a crazy amount of food/junk in the break room which by the way is located next to our nurse station and we must store our drinks in this same room!!! Ahhhh....... 12. Way to go!! I was told by my MIL to tone it up.
  13. Thanks for all the replies. I never like to get stuck, not something I ever look forward too. I try to avoid things like this at all cost, but when it does happen my Band reminds me who's boss and whips me right back in shape lol. I was just curious to know what others did.
  14. Besised the obvious to not get stuck, chew better, smaller bites, etc. When you are stuck what do you do? I dont get stuck that often but am just figuring out a way to get unstuck asap. The last time I got stuck I found myself trying to do all kind of things like bending down to touch my toes, putting my arms above my head, trying to sip Water, but ultimately In the end I end up panicking and just leaning over the sink, or garbage can and letting the slime roll. It took about 20 minutes the last time I was stuck, nothing ever came out but slime. But my goodness its a long 20 minutes. So what do you do if you are stuck?? Ps I am not currently stuck, just want some info.
  15. Awesome progress! Keep up the good work.
  16. Keep up the good work you look great!!
  17. I dont track my exercise on mfp because of this, i have a seperate calendar i write my exercise and weekly weights on, and when i go for a check up i just take it with me. I dont like when you put in your exercise your goals change (calories, protein, fat, etc.) I dont like that at all.
  18. Thats was a awesome appt! Im sure they will love those donuts!! You are such a great motivator!
  19. Im with you girl. At almost 7 months out I feel like something just hit me and opened my eyes to start listening to my band and being able to do things like push my plate away. The hardest thing was detoxing myself from the sugar junk that i was eating.
  20. I had my surgery june 18 2013. I eat anything I want in moderation. I make sure I have plenty of Protein each day. A typical day for me is Breakfast- egg beaters, cheesestick, yogurt. Lunch- turkey on a flat bread. Snack- Quest Protein Bar. Dinner- chicken with veggies. I eat the same things almost daily, but that works for me. The proetin bars curb hunger in between meals and taste like a candy bar to me. Now dont get me wrong if I have a craving for something sweet or its one of my kids birthdays I will have a piece, just a small piece to curb that craving. Its diffrent now because I can control my eating habits thanks to my band.
