  3. Well, as my first week on liquids is coming to an end... I am starting to feel a little nervous because Its been easy with the liquid diet. This Friday I start full liquids, puree vegetables and fruits etc which I believe will go great. But what about when I actually start on solids???? Im terrified I'll mess up or do harm to myself. So for those who have been there and done that... What advice can you give? Did you feel terrified when it came time for solid foods?
  4. Awesome! Thanks for all the info. I just purchased my juicer yesterday and I am super excited about incorporating it into my eating.
  5. Is or has anyone tried juicing while on the lapband? Pro/cons?
  6. Doing great. Still on pre-op and counting down the days
  7. So excited for you!! I had my pre-op today and still scheduled for the 20th... Keep me posted on your surgery!!
  8. Surgery got pushed from March 8th to March 20th... Better late than never
  9. I am Type 1 and have been working with my Dr on my medication. But I have mini-cans of pineapple juice with me at all times... The best advice to give you would be make sure to CHECK CHECK AND CHECK your blood levels. Between stress, hormones and food anything can trigger a high or low reading. What has your Dr said? Have they lowered your medication?
  10. Im scheduled March 8th at True Results Houston location... I went for my consultation Jan 10th and my insurance doesnt cover weight loss surgery nor hernia surgery... The center tried getting me in thru the hernia program (which I do have one) but my insurance wont cover that either.
  11. True Results Center off of S. Main in Houston
  12. Did you notice we have the same surgery date and Dr? Pretty cool
  13. March 8th right around the corner... Excited and nervous all at once
  14. I am scheduled for surgery March 8th 2013. I've been type 1 diabetic since I was 13 (29 now) and currently using an insulin pump to control my diabetes. I am on my 3nd day of my pre-op diet and having a hard time keeping my sugars up but working with my Dr on getting that fixed. If you have dealt with the whole diabetes and band, how was your experience? How did you do on your pre-op diet? How did it affect your sugar after surgery? Need some feed back
  15. I am scheduled for surgery March 8th 2013. I've been type 1 diabetic since I was 13 and am currently using an insulin pump to control my diabetes. I've looked around on here to see if anyone else is insulin dependent and also having or has had they lapband procedure. I am on my 2nd day of my pre-op diet and having a hard time keeping my sugars up but working with my Dr on getting that fixed. If you have dealt with the whole diabetes and band, how was your experience? How did you do on your pre-op diet? How did it affect your sugar after surgery?
