Nope my Tricare Reserve requires my dr to write letter stating I've tried to diet on own and I am tobacco and alcohol free... then I had 2 shrink evals and nutritionist apt... all the pre op test at hospital. .. so ekg, upper gi, ultrasound ..etc...once ppwk was sent to tricare it was approved in about 8 days... Covered surgery 100% ...office visits I pay a $150 copay but only till I hit my deductable...

I am doing good.. I did not have any real pain last week I was just a little sore.... Had some waves of nausae the first couple days but my Dr told me to expect that b/c of the Plication... I came back to work yesterday, with that said I was wore slam out by time I got home but I made it. today is better. How are you doing??

Hey I know you said above you did not know if you had the ability to keep Tricare when he comes off of deployment... My Hubby is in the National Guard we went through a deployment a couple years ago and have been on Tri Care ever since... when he came home he just had to switch out plan to TriCare Reserve... We can keep that till he leaves the Guard and at his rate he may never do that... been in 19+ yrs... Congrats on getting your appts squared away! Good Luck!

Dr came in twice when I was in recovery that I can remember but I had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia so I did not really get to talk to him...

I was banded w plication last Wednesday. .. I am just trying to figure out where my port is ?? I have 4 tiny incisions and one longer one...would it be where the long incision is??? Just trying to figure it all out. Thanks

Went for my preop today surgeon just happened to have an opening tomorrow and since I'd already been doimg the liver reduction diet on my own and dropped 14lbs he said I was good to go if I wanted it... tomorrow gives me no time to freak out. ..just be excited! Yay me...

I have a blog... I love it... I have only told a choosen few about my surgury and those that know about it know about my blog and keep track for there. .. keeps me from being pestered w questions everytime I talk w the ones I have told..
