Hi I also had my surgery at Mercy Hospital in December of 2008 received one fill. They really need to close that department down because everything they said they would do they have not done for there patients. I am looking into seeing a doctor at Northwestern hospital because I have not receive a checkup at all. I did call and complain but nothing happen. It is a shame that they are getting away with how they treat there patients and no one is speaking up. I complained to my insurance about them I do not recommend anyone to have the lapband surgery at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. Also I have been trying to get my medical records paid for them and have not received them They discuss me because lately my stomach have been feeling really bloated.

I had my surgery December 28th 2007 my weight was 265 pounds it seems I am not losing weight at all my weight now is 230. I had two fills 2nd fill he could not find my port went back 3 weeks later which a month ago he said he gave me 3ccs. I am still eating last week I even when back to jenny craig because I am on the life time program. I know I should be smaller I have started to workout I have joined a club. :confused:I had surgery December 28th first fill in february not much restrictions. Today I went to have my second fill he could not do it because he said that my port had turned a little. He was trying to turn it around but he could not he told be to come back in two weeks to have an xray. He said this was common he ask me if I felt any discomfort I remember a few weeks ago I was feeling some pain Please can someone explain this to me Thank you Liz:confused:

Praise the Lord fellow saints. I am asking for prayer I was banded Dece 28th I was really feeling great after sugery and the last few days. Yesterday I started to feel very tired no energy. Try Mercy hospital call ask for the weight loss department. Or call the operator ask them to page Kathy from the weight management program. The program at Mercy Hospital is excellent all I have to say is good things about them the way they treat there patients I think it is one of the best programs in chicago. Blessings Liz

Friday Dec 28th I had my surgery I have feeling fine until yesterday. I have been very tired no energy I have been on clear liquids I started to have protein drinks. Today I went to the clinic to have my staples removed the nurse and nutrionist suggested that I do more protein she said I should be doing a thousand calories a day. They also said I can have eggs cottage cheese and yoplait:help:. My husband wanted to stop and have breakfast I ordered ham and eggs. I could only eat 3 forks of the eggs with two small pieces of ham. Please can someone help me. Since Friday I lost 6 pounds. Friday I was 245. God bless you guys:phanvan:help:

Hi Tracy I also was banded December 28th I actually feeling fine a little gas pains and naueasa I'm using gasx strips and for the nausea in the hospital they gave a couple shots. Last night I had really bad shoulder pain used heating pad the pain got better. I started to go out to special service at church but decided against it I'm feeling a little soar I do have a little hunger pains I have clear liquids jello opitfast and popsicles Girl you sould as if you are during great keep up the good work. My was 245 going into surgery.

Praise the Lord Christian banders it has been a while since I been on this sight. Friday December 28th I finally I got banded the saying is lapband is a journey that is the truth. I am asking for prayer for the 2 weeks liquid stage I feel hunger pains my prayer is that they go away quickly. God bless everyone on there lapband journey. Liz

December 28th yesterday I will always remember this date I had my surgery. The doctor said everything was fine I have not been in to much pain before leaving the hospital I had to have xrays to see if everything was positon right I was able to see that myself the radiologist showed me the band and port I had to drink some white stuff to make sure it went down okay and it did. Now that I am home I now begin to have gas and discomfort in my shoulders and chest. I just want to thank you guys for supporting me God bless everyone Liz:):kiss2::whoo:

Hi guys I have finally been approved by aetna Monday afternoon. My surgery will be 12/28 over the weekend I had a toothache. My doctor suggested that I finish the dental work and instead of having surgery which was supposed to been today I will have it next friday. So I will get to taste some xmas dinner not to much. After being on my lapband journey since last feburary. I have gone through every test and meeting that the insurance has required. In October I was given the date December 20th now the nurse saids that Aenta is requesting five years of documented weight. I called my previous hospital medical records and had them to fax the information to my lapband nurse she did that now they are saiding my case is pending. I was doing very well following my liquid diet just this last day I have stopped because I feel so depressed. I am not sure if this journey is going to happen. I am starting to think know one really cares about the situation. Even the hospital what a waste of time. Band on the run Liz:cry

Hi my name is Liz just started back on the sight I will be banded also on 12/20. Monday I will on the liquid diet at the hospital I attend they say lapband is a journey I started last January on my process. I change doctors and have been with Mercy Hospital in Chicago since February. I really need strength to get through this phase. I did really well this summer lost 25 pounds. Please can someone help and give some pointers I will be doing the optifast with jello and popsicles please give me more liquids to drink with menu for to take away the hunger pains please help. Praise the Lord My name is Liz I really enjoy reading your spirtual threads they have been such a blessings to me. I have not been banded yet I was hoping to banded by June but I changed hospitals so I have to start the process over which is very disappointing to me. Yesterday I went for my counsultation I have to go through six months of I guess pre-op for insurance purpose I am very depressed because I have gained more weight 251 not happy with that at all but I am looking forward to this program it seems once I start it would be very helpful can you guys please add me in your prayers. Fellow Saints The Lord wants us to be healthy that we know for sure so lets begin to pray for the people who has made the decision to have this surgery pray for the ones already had the surgery and the one's that are thinking about it. Let's pray for healthy minds to make the right decison about our bodies it's does not matter who is right or wrong because at the end it will not matter. Father in the name of jesus I thank for the moderator of this thread and the response father God bless this newly christian thread.
