Hi Debi... I take a B- Complex orally. I think I am fine. I also take 2 chewable vitamins that I forget frequently. The first month after surgery I felt tired but now I am fine...Janie

Hey Alex I am glad you are back. I think its o.k. to have a vacation from the band. You need to post some pictures. I have been busy faux painting. Our work has really been picking up and I was out of town last week and I am packing to go out of town tomorrow. I think I have hit a plateau with my weight but I am trying to tell my self that its allright. I think it is harder to eat when you are on the road. I did not get to go to padre Island like we planned for labor day because of my work deadlines but thats o.k. We may go late October/ I really miss getting on the computer every day. Tell us more abput your trip... I am glad you are back safely...Janie

Hi Kathy your grandbaby is precious. I think we have a lot of going on that are just alike. I just had a new grandbaby on June 23 rd.A precious little girl named Shelby. I got my band on May 6 th. I have not had a fill and I have lost 41 bls. Hi twin! Isnt it great those little babies...Congratulations...Janie

Hi Sue. I probably will not be much help but here goes. I was supposed to have my gallbladder out and I told my husband by the way I am going to get a lapband at the same time. Long story short I wound up not getting the gallbladder surgery just the lapband. He is not very understanding. He too has a need for a lapband but is allways telling me that he can loose it on his on. But in 21 years of marriage he hasnt. He does not listen when I tell him that obesity is a diease and needs to be treated. He thinks it is strictly will power. When He finally realized that I was really going to get a band he said "what will I do ?' I fell your pain. Husbands can be difficult! Best of luck...Janie

Darcy I am sorry you didnot have a plesant fill. Bet the scales will really stsrt moving now. I am going to miss you..I will be away for awhile.When I return you will probably really be a looser. Good luck. Lisa I am also sorry you are dealing with food. I think you are doing great! Even if you have a little set back. I have noticed my meals are getting a little larger. I have faith that we are both going to do great. You not able to get a fill and me without a fill. Dont get discouraged. I am so so so jealous that I cannot come to Vegas. Marie thats a wonderful oops. You are an inspiration to me. I can hardly believe that you rode out side in Houston in August. Thats an extra wwwwwwwhhhhhoooo. I had a necular stress test. Just the name of it sounds so scary but it was nothing. The upper g-I stuff where you have to drink yuccky stuff is the hardest. I had to have a regular (treadmill) stress test for the lapband surgery. The necular stress test came about 7 or 8 months earlier when I thaught I had had a heart attack. It turned out to be a gallbladder attack. Dont wory about the stress test...Janie

I saw my doctor for the second time after my banding yesterday. He was thrilled with my progress.His scales showed me having a weight loss of 41lbs. My scales shows a weight loss of 37lbs. Ithink he also said that I now have a BMI of 35. I cant actually remember. If any one can help me figure out what my BMI is I would appreciate it. I am 5'5 and weigh 207 and I am 54 years old. Just wanted to share. It made my day...Janie

Ryan your posts allways move me. Congratulations. I am so happy for you. Sounds like some of your inlaws are related to Archie Bunker. I had to do liquids on Mothers day and it was pretty hard. Every thing looked and smelled so good but I had been banded only a few days. Thanksgiving will probably be hard. I will try to get on the computer and talk to you on that day. I ate like it was going out of style a week before my banding and I was very nervous. I had to be on clesr liquids 2 days before surgery and that was torture. You will do great... Best wishes...Janie

Thanks Kelly and Ryan. I have a partner we have been in business foe 8 years and we paint in the DFW and Denton area. Our prices range according to how long we think something will take. We worked in a sweet little 85 year old ladys house and we made 200 a piece. But everything is diffrent. My favorite thing to paint is childrens rooms. I painted baby farm animals in my granddaughters room and puppy dogs in my grandsons room. Thanks for your words of encouragement...Janie

Congratulations... I am 54 years old and I think its harder to loose after 50, but if you drink all of your water and get all your protein in you should do great. My weight comes off slowly but thats o.k. I am considering this as a journey ans slow is fine. Good Luck...Janie
