  2. Hey everyone I have become addicted to this sight. I cant wait to get on the computer everyday and see whats going on with everyone. I am going to go thru withdrawal for most of the month of September because of my painting schedule. I will be out of town a lot and even if I had a laptop Id be too tired to get on it. I would rather be on this sight more than watching t.v. And I have let my housework go. I am not complaining but I am nervous about all I have to do next month. This sight has encouraged me to start exercising and eat healthier. Actually all of you have. I can count on Lisa and Darcy to make me laugh daily. And Alex and Donali have been so helpfull. I had a great time in the chat room with Michelle Whippledaddy and Lioness last night.. You are all great.Leatha Teresa New Hope Betty , all of you have been like a second family to me. Any way please do not forget me. I am going to try and read as much as I can but doubt Ill get to post much. I would appreciate prayers for this difficult month I have coming up. I am kind of nervous about all the physical aspect. My partner and I are going to faux paint and do murals in 6 model homes. Thats a lot of setting up and ladder work. All this starts next monday, so I will appreciate any support. And I want you all to know that I will be thinking of you all and wishing you all a good loosing month and well being... Thanks to all of you...Janie
  3. Wheeler it sounds like you are doing great.. Congratulations...Janie
  4. Teresa... I am so sorry ...I think its funny how men(some men) can spend money on toys and not see it as unwise spending but the wifes spending is seen as very unseccary spending...Hang in there ...Janie
  5. Ginni, Thanks for sharing with us. You are an inspiration. I cant imagne a size 8. WOW! Ill be tickled if I get to a size 14. When I loose 10 more pounds I will be in the 100s. Cant wait. Please keep posting and if you can put up some pictures. Thanks again.I allways baby my port. After hearing about Donali flipped port from streching. My work partner fell off a ladder today She is fine just going to be bruised some, but I thaught whoa what if that had been me and I damaged the port, so its on my mind a lot. Talk to us again Ginni...Janie
  6. I have 3 to 8 little york peppermint patties daily. The package says low fat and they give me that dessert feeling after a meal or something to tide me over when working. I havent lost this week so maybe I should cut down on them. Sooooo sorry Lisa hope you are better noe!
  7. Because of this post I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and after I did some housework I had not planned on doing. I am going to try to do this every night that i am home. YEA..Thanks everyone...Janie

  9. Nana you are doing a lot for being only 12 days out. Be careful. I had that little pinching pain in the beginning but it went away. My port sounds like its in the same spot. I really baby my port cause I am a little afraid of hurting it. ...Janie
  10. Ginni, Tell us more about yourself... Thanks Janie
  11. Nancy do you walk outside this time of the year. I am in the midcities and the heat index was 104 today. I cannot take the heat. I think I am allways depressed this time of the year because of the heat.. Id really like to know how you handle it...Thanks...Janie
  12. I am not anyone to give advise on this subject because I have the same problem. I used to have the excuse of my hurt knee but now it is fine. My excuse now is some mild depression. But I have a friend who does not go home before she goes to Curves. Also I used to take my swimsuit and towel and do water areobics before I went home. Maybe we could encourage each other .Hey where is Groves texas? I live in the midcities close to Arlington Texas. I am going to walk on my treadmill right now. I got home from work and came straight to my computer. Your post has encouraged me to do something.. Good luck...Janie

WOW! I think you are doing great. I am not good with math but if I am correct you have lost close to 60 lbs in 8 or 9 months. Thats good. I am thinking of this weight loss as a slow adventure and Hey you didnt gain.. So it all sounds good to me. I have only been banded for 3 months but I allready know that I do better when I force the water. Hopefully with your new fill you will get the scale moving again... Congratulations...Janie
  14. My doctor said I needed to be 100lbs. overweight to qualify for surgery. I am not sure you qualify. If you had the surgery you would have to stop drinking The soda anyway. So why not try that to see if it makes a difference. Also the water makes a BIG difference. I loose so much faster when I drink all my water. I had surgery 3 months ago. I got off cokes about 6 months before my surgery. Now all I drink is water and 2 or 3 times lemonaide at the movies. Its really not so bad . It took some getting used to not drinking during meals..But every thing gets better. Best wishes on your journey...Janie
  15. Hi what a sweet post. That inspired me for the rest of the day. One of the reasons I wanted to have the lapband was to be able to do things with my grandchildren. I have three beautiful grandbabies ranging in age 18 months to 2 months. They are all from diffrent daughters. In October I will post pictures of them. I will be too busy in Sept. working... Thanks for the sweet story...Janie
  16. The liquid phase before surgery is harder than after surgery...But time will pass quickly...Best wished...Janie
  17. ... Lord so far I have been pretty good today..I havent cussed overeaten or been rude to anyone... but help me I am about to get out of bed !...
  18. I thaught I had gained 1 pound but I weighed again and its only a half of a pound so thats better. I weigh 209 and a half. Just 10 lbs before I am under 200. Yea...I am not really exercising I know that is bad. But my business is really picking up and I will be staying in alot of hotels where i find it difficult to exercise. EXCUSES EXCUSES... Well I really do plan on exercising some. Becky I weithed 248 whenI started and had my surgery one month brfore you and you have lost 10 more pounds than me so you are doing great. Lisa hang in there you are doing great also. Sometimes I am jealous of you because you do not have a port. I am nervous about mine and exercising.... Best wishes to all...Janie
  19. Hi Heather. I agree alot with Nancy. I weighed 248 when I got my lap band in May of this year, I now weigh 209. I am 10 lbs from being under 200 which is my first goal . But I am 54 years old. I would had loved to have had this tool when I was younger. Maybe I could have avoided High blood pressure, sleep apenea, and some joint pain. My pain after surgery wasnt bad. I was uncomfortable for about 2 weeks but it didnot keep me from doing things. It really is a good weight loss tool...Best wishes...Janie
  20. Hi. I too am allways aware of my port. It is kinda of a bother. My port was sore for several weeks after surgery but now there is no pain I am just aware of it and can feel it anytime I touch it. Give a few more weeks. Best wishes...Janie
  21. Hey Alex, Congratulations. I think you are doing great! I agree with Bright whole hearted. I allways feel inspired after reading your posts. The first time I ever posted you and Donali posted back to me and made me feel so much better. Thank you. It can be a little intimidating when you first post. One thing you have taught me is that this is a journey and I dont have to go so fast. Anyway THANK YOU! ...Janie
