  1. One month post op tomorrow..-25 lbs post op...one of the reasons I chose lap band was my bad knees..Dr had told me no exercise until 6w post op visit...that I could walk...but he took me off nsaids so as not to cause stomach problems so now my knees hurt all the time..any suggestions?
  2. Started on mushies last week...and weight loss has seemed to stop..I don't want to put an ounce back on..Dr says no excersizing till 6 w checkup..that I can walk 5 minutes a day besides working.....what to do?
  3. Thanks...I am getting 350 to 500 calories...I'm starting to have some hungry spells but a bite or two of applesauce seems to do the trick also how do we get enough fiber? I am afraid to take fiber supplements ...might cause bloating.
  4. Definitely not able eat enough to get protein in....started mushy food 2 days ago...how many calories do most people average in this phase?
  5. Thanks to all for the encouragement!
  6. Lost 21 lbs since preop diet which for me was only a few days since surgery got moved up....total weight loss 31 lbs since starting this...get to start mushy food...so ready. Journey started for sure this time!

  9. Hello ...very excited to start this journey.. ok here's the basics. Starting weight 228 and 5'2". I need knee replacement at age 50...trying to get some years out of my knee before I have to get a replacement and in the last couple years been diagnosed with hbp asthma thyroid disease sleep apnea....sound familiar? I had to cut back at work to three days a week...my knees just couldn't do it. I have only told immediate family about my procedure....I just don't want everyone to be "weighing me". So had my surgery on the 16th stayed out of work with a "stomach thing" and returned to work a week later. I have a semi desk job...was just extremely tired and tummy sore but I made it thru. Cant wait until official weighing next Tuesday. About to get over liquid diet...overall surgery recoop not to bad...gas pains in chest and shoulder and sore tummy but me and lortab (for first 4 days) have made it thru. Day 11 post op and feeling good!
