My week is going BAD
Did you call your insurance company to see what the requirements are for the surgery? Most insurance will only cover if your BMI is over 35, and that is with 1 or 2 co-morbidites. I have united health care and it was covered, but my BMI was 41. I would check on that before you do the rest of your procedures. I'd hate to see you go through all that, then get denied.

Half and half is only 40 calories for 2 tablespoons and the sugar free caramel syrup has virtually no calories and no carbs.- Calling all coffee drinkers
I just am discovered a sugar free caramel syrup from walmart. It is so good. I use 2 cap fills and some cream. You would never know its sugar free. In my opinion, I think it's Starbucks quality.- I lost what?
Haha 60 lbs = 5 Weiner dogs!- SilverCross hosp New lenox?
The hospital stay was good. The nurses were ver nice and helpful. I was uncomfortable from the incisions and the drain. The drain was a nuisance. Your are pumped with a lot of fluids, so your constantly having to pee. It was a pain in the but to use the bathroom because of the ivs and the drain hanging off. I did have a catheter the first day tho. It wasn't too bad. The morphine button took the pain away but made me sick, so they gave me anti nausea mods, which helped a lot. They give you broth and jello the next day, but I had a hard time keeping it down. I didn't get too much sleep because the nurses are alway checking your heart monitor and fluids. I loved the rooms, It was super clean and inviting. Over all It was great, considering I had surgery. I'd do it again if I had to. Great staff, very attentive and caring. I had a male nurse And I thought he was the most compassionate.- SilverCross hosp New lenox?
I had surgery at silver may 13th. Great place to do it. I'm down 42 pounds including my pre op. the diet is 2 Protein shakes a day and 4 oz meat and half cup of non- starchy veggies for dinner. You are allowed 2 serving of each: 2 sugar free Popsicles ( I like the Aldi brand), chiken broth and Jello. It was hard the first few days, but got easier. I lost 15 lbs on the pre op. I started at 237 and now 195. I'm 5'4".- Unitedhealthcare choice plus
I have choice plus with a 1500 deductible. And 750 co insurance. So the max I had to pay was 2250. I really didnt have to even pay that much because we have a medical reimbursement account through Jp Morgan chase. They have been great so far, in my experience. You should not have to pay up front. Only thing I had to pay was a $300 fee for supplements, preop class and nutrition classes that were not covered by insurance.- sleevers in Chicago southland

2 weeks pre op 237 Date of surgery 222 Today I'm 206 So about 31 lbs in about 5 weeks.- sleevers in Chicago southland
My recovery was fine. I was sore and nauseated in the hospital. The morphine button made me sick, so they kept giving me anti- nausea meds. Other than that my recovery was fine. My first 2 days home I took the Vicodin. I was just really tired. My 3rd day I was out at the grocery store and Home Depot buying flowers with the help of one of my friends. In about 3 weeks out now and I don't even feel like I've had surgery, besides eating less.- sleevers in Chicago southland
I was just sleeved with dr Joyce 5/13/13. The staff was amazing. I can't say anything bad about about my experience.- Tofu & shiritaki noodles?
Thank you for all the input. I guess I'll wait on the noodles for a while and try the silken tofu. Thank you! Amanda- Tofu & shiritaki noodles?
Can and when can I eat them? Is that a vegetable or a Protein? I'm 3 weeks post op. Just trying to be creative with meals. I'm not a vegetarian, I like variety. Thanks Amanda- Anyone 5'5" and around 200 lbs at surgery date?
I was 215 and I'm 5'4. I lost 15 2 weeks pre op and 15 post op. my surgery was 5-13-13- Are there any hairstylist out there who've had the procedure?
I also use a straw and have been fine. I just try not to sip too big- Are there any hairstylist out there who've had the procedure?
I'm a stylist. I had my surgery 5/13 and I can drink pretty well. I am going to give myself a few extra minutes between clients so I can take time to drink. If you get a lot of colors you can focus on drinking while they are processing. You will be surprised how much Water you can get in after a week. Well at least I feel I can get a lot in. It's the food that's hard to get down for me. I'm a week out and feel great. I just have a little tenderness where the incision sites are. Happy styling! Amanda- Steri strips
How bout your drain site? I couldn't believe there was just a hole in my belly! I keep replacing the gauze, but the little bit of oozing sticks to it. It gives me the heebie geebies! Btw, thanks for everyone's input- Steri strips
How long did you keep your steri strips on? I'm trying not to get them too wet in the shower. Thanks Amanda - Calling all coffee drinkers
