  1. I want pickles so bad, but I don't want to do anything to mess up and it's not on my list. I guess I will wait until tomorrow and call the office and talk to my dietician.
  2. Hey Jenny! Day 5 for me too. I've been doing good even endured people eating my favorite fried chicken in front of me. I'm allowed a cream based soup, it's funny how alike but different our preop diets are. Question? Do you think it would be okay to have pickle juice and hot sauce? I mean hey they are no calorie liquids. I'm craving a pickle but the juice would do the trick. My only concern is the sodium.
  3. Is anyone experiencing this during the preop liquid diet phase? Day 4 and my husband said its a little hot. My patient care coordinator said I shouldn't chew gum because it will make me hungry and gassy. Any help or suggestions out there?
  4. WOW Newbeebee! You are the only one I have encountered who's diet is worse than mine. I can have apple and orange juice, sf Popsicles, no sugar added fudgesicles, sf jello and all low sodium broth soups which really help. However, I have to go 21 days because of my BMI instead of 14. So I guess we all have something. It's going to be worth it. Hang in there, we can do this.
  5. This is day 2 of my liquid diet. Day 1 was no problem at all. Today experienced some hunger and I was a little light headed. Realized I needed to drink something. Did Water and a fudgesicle, it helped. We can do this!
  6. I've had 3 c sections so I'm not exactly scared of surgery. However, I've never been put totally under with anesthesia either. I was awake for all 3 of those. I think it's normal for us to be nervous. Once we've come this far, I know we've all counted up the costs by now. We will be fine.
  7. My preop diet started today! So far so good.
  8. Glad I have a fellow March 18th band buddy!
  9. I'm so excited for you, please keep us updated on your progress. I start my pre-op liquid diet next week. I'm praying my excitement for this surgery helps me make it through that.
  10. Thank you Tara-U, I've heard it mentioned a few times and wanted to see what I was missing out on. I'm so excited I finally got a date of 3/18 yay! But my doctor never mentioned plication, maybe it's not offered by his office.
  11. I'm so excited!
  12. If anyone can take out the time to explain to me what plication is?
  13. I'm so excited I received my approval letter from the insurance company today. I'm now waiting on a follow up call from the patient coordinator to schedule my date. I was thinking this is taking forever, but I had my consult 1/4, my psych eval 1/24, and my approval letter today 2/19. I guess it's moving right along considering. As I sit here watching the TLC channel and this story about the journey of this 600 lb woman. Though I'm moved with so much compassion for her, I couldn't be happier that I'm making this decision now. I hope I will be joining you guys with a March 2013 surgery date!
