I'm day 3 post op and I didn't have gas pains at first so I thought I was in the clear. Boy was I wrong! This morning the pains hit. I've taken gas x but can't tell if its working yet. I hope it does and hopefully these shoulder pains don't last long. Very uncomfortable.

Well first off I wasn't trying to be rude. She just really needs to think about if she really wants it before getting a surgery that constricts how much and what she eats and can cause serious complications by not sticking to the diet. that's all I was saying. Stop thinking I'm attacking anyone because Im not that kind of person.

If you're already cheating, you need to think about if you really want this. I had a 3 day liquid diet and wanted regular food so bad but I wanted my surgery more so obviously I didn't cheat. I'm now on day 3 post op and of course in not cheating now bc this is what I want. I still have two more weeks of liquids. I'm not trying to sound rude, but if you're already cheating now do you think you'll be cheating afterwards too when there's a possibility of band slippage?

I'm day 3 post op as well and don't have any swelling or bloating except for the main incision site is a little red and swollen.

Doing good still. Barely eating anything but luckily No gas pains. Just extremity pain and my main incision is red but otherwise doing great.

I had my surgery on Thursday so what she says doesn't matter. I paid out of pocket and don't regret it.

Surgery went well! Ended up I had a hiatal hernia so he fixed it during surgery. Just really sore now and had reactions to pain meds but otherwise I'm good. No pain meds for 6 hours and so far so good.

Got back to my room about 6. Really sore and had complications from anesthesia but can't believe I'm finally banded!!!!

Finally the time for surgery has come! Feeling more weak from the liquid diet than I am nervous for the surgery. Can't wait to get the surgery over with. Have to stay all night at the hospital since I'm having an afternoon surgery. It's for the best. Ill have medical people with me in case I have complications. Looking forward to being on the other side and being banded and not waiting to be banded anymore!

Just finished day 1 of 3 of the pre op diet. Not too bad, a little hungry. Kind of wondering how I'm going to go without eating until probably Friday...ready for surgery on Thursday though.

March 14 here. Already had pre op testing and a little bump in the road with an abnormal EKG but I saw a cardiologist and I'm good to go for surgery. I start my 3 day pre op diet on Monday. I was nervous but now I'm just excited! Any advice on what bariatric vitamins everyone is taking or what the best kind are?

So I had my pre op testing done today. Surgery is next Thursday, March 14, a little over a month after my husband left me. I'm looking at this now as not only a new start for my health, but a new start on life as a single woman. I'm okay and not looking for sympathy, but encouraging anyone else going through this that if you have to do it alone, it will still be worth every second and every penny spent.

Wow! You look amazing! Congrats, all the hard work is paying off! I'm getting lapband in march and its nice to see people's results and know how worth it the surgery will be.

Surgery was moved back and is officially scheduled for March 14. So glad I have a for sure date!

Congrats on the surgery! Mine is mid-feb. I wild try to drink something to get it in your system so you don't get dehydrated. Good luck with your new lease on life!

I talked to my boss after the consultation and thankfully she is being supportive and is letting me take off as much time as needed and told me not to worry about work and to focus on the surgery and recovery. So thankful! Thank you all for the great advice!

2/14 here! Really anxious just hoping all the pre op tests come back clear and then also worried about surgery, I have anxiety so of course I'm worrying about a million things ( will my bp be too high to where they won't operate/will I be allergic to the drugs/will they do the wrong procedure on accident) just stupid things due to my anxiety. I keep telling myself that I'm not being forced to do it and its something I really, really want so surgery is worth it. Hope I'm not the only one feeling this way...

I did luck out with only a 3 day diet. My dr said he doesn't do the 10 day diet anymore which is fine with me. I heard its one of the worst parts. I'm glad it's only 3 days. Now I just have to run everything with my boss and schedule my testing and surgery. Can't believe it's so close!!!

Consultation went great! He answered every single question I had and I found out the exact price. Pretty much I go for the tests on a Monday (whichever Monday I choose, as soon as this coming up monday) and I start my 3 day liquid diet that day and then have surgery that Thursday. So I'm planning on the week of feb 4 for surgery! So excited/nervous/anxious for surgery and recovery!!!
