Isopure W/ Water A Clear Liquid?
I was told by my doc and the NUT that clear did NOT have to be "transparent". Just no lumps or bumps. Protein shakes, any soups (liquid only) etc. I've been drinking shakes, souls, water, Isopure, etc.

Any North Dallas Sleevers
Ahhh. Same Dr. D. Oldie but a goodie. Every other do. I spoke to (inside and outside of bariatric) all gushed over him.

Yep. Were you the guy that got the upper GI the same time I did? I was with my wife.

3 Days Post Op
Did you follow the whole one ounce per 15 min?

3 Days Post Op
First lunch out. Miso Soup. 1) One ounce per 15 min is an exercise in futility (but I'm doing it). 2) either their miso soup changed in a week or my taste buds did. I lived on this stuff before surgery. Now it tastes awful to me!!!

Any North Dallas Sleevers
Dr. Davidson. Forrest Park Plano. He's amazing. Had mine last Friday the 16th.

Tomorow Is The Day.
It seems all went fairly well. Dr. Davidson is rock star as is the Forrest Park nursing staff. Ask for Kayla and Barbra. They are awesome. Was really nauseas yesterday. Three up a few times (air heaves) so they tweaked the meds and life is grand. Had upper GI this morning, no leaks so I finally get to start on fluids. Been downing Ispoure at one ounce per 15 min. They brought Soup but its way too bland. Biggest issue is I'm absolutely exhausted. Can't sleep for more than 15-20min before someone comes in and asks to poke or prod me. :-) Been walking like crazy as I have no tolerance for the gas pains and walking makes life much better. Forrest Park in Dallas is a freakish luxury hotel. If you can, DO have it there. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. On my way to being FAT NO MO!!!

New Whey Liquid Protein. Very Funny
Researching reviews on Amazon and saw this. About wet myself laughing. "3.0 out of 5 stars Gross, but has a lot of proteinI drink these for lunch because I need Protein and like to torture myself. They taste like a wild boar's butthole farting green apple, but I just close my eyes and pretend that I am Dumbledore drinking the Drink of Despair and I'm able to choke it down."

Rough Timing
Surgery is in a week. (Nov 16). Timing couldn't be worse as Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite holiday. Not really in a depressed state, but coming to the realization as I eat my zillionth Pre surgery bowl of soup that there won't be anymore Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green been casserole, etc... At lunch today I wanted to head to Outback and have a final Prime Rib. I guess I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'll be severing ties with my close and personal friend...food! :-) I know I have addiction issues but they are now becoming real. Not asking for anything here, just trying to be transparent with my comrades in arms as I know you all have been there. Five days to a new life right.

I Have Gained 15 Lbs But Dropped 3 Pants Sizes
Thus the comment that muscle is more dense than fat.

I Have Gained 15 Lbs But Dropped 3 Pants Sizes
Awesome man! Way to go. You're a total inspiration. On another note I was recently corrected on the fat/muscle weight debate. A pound is a pound. 16 ounces of feathers, water, fat, muscle, etc is 1 pound. Muscle IS more dense than fat. Either way, you're a rock star man. It's great to hear loose skin success stories. It's my biggest fear.

Thanks for the input. I look forward to other constructive feedback as well.

Drinking (Or Not) Liquids
I get that public enemy no 1 is drinking before and after eating. We're big soup eaters so how does this apply? A bit of sushi with some miso soup? What's difference between this and drinking water while eating?

Hello Everyone
Thanks! I will do what the doc says. :-) I weigh 300 and need to lose 100. I'm just worried about not losing. I've read too many failure stories and it has me nervous. Thanks for the response. It's awesome to have an outlet.

Hello Everyone
I've been reading these threads for several months. Getting sleeved (self-pay) November 16th. Very excited. Been contemplating bariatric surgery for many years now. Have many questions but here are a few: 1) How much weight loss is typical the first 45 days? 2) Does it absolutely have to be 2 weeks of "clear" liquids? (We have a Blendtech blender that pulverized any and all things put in it) 3) I travel a lot. Would it be realistic to fly 3 weeks later? Like I said, I have lots of questions but figured this was a good start.
