  1. Also, I saw you mention being on a low income. I've been there. If you have insurance see if they will cover a nutritionist. If not - try calling some and see if they offer a sliding scale. I once worked with a woman who was and that helped make it affordable for me.
  2. I'd recommend meeting with a nutritionist for som support and meal planning while you jump start your journey. I'm also a fan of myfitnesspal to track everything you consume (and also calories burned) - without tracking the calories can really add up. This can also be useful to make sure you are getting all the right nutrients (protein, vitamins, etc). Good luck!
  3. Awesome work!!! What were your keys to success? I have similar goals to you.
  4. I will def report back! First hour or two after taking it was just rumbles. Starting to pass gas now. Unsure if it is related. Did you have a pre surgery diet? I think that is what is helping me now - knowing I've already made it almost 3 weeks on liquids. You can do this! It's tough but will be so worth it!
  5. Trying activated charcoal for gas. Gas-x hasn't helped me. Walking helps some but not entirely. Hopefully this moves a bit of the gas in my cavity outta my life!
  6. Feeling something akin to a pulled muscle where i believe the port is. Currently most painful part of healing for me.
  7. I'm a few days post op. I've had some incision soreness but today there is a spot on my stomach that is most painful - and it's not an incision. It does feel kinda hard under the surface tho. Is this my port? I will try and point to it in this picture.... The sensation is similar to a pulled muscle.
  8. Glad it all worked out ok 4 did not hurt. The fifth was immediately resistant so I didn't push it and just left it on there.
  9. Can you ask your doc for more? I've also been using liquid ibuprofen from the drug store and it helps.
  10. You were beautiful before and you look fantastic now! Congratulations!
  11. I'm making my poor hubs use condoms. He is less than thrilled. But I just don't want to go thru the hormonal swings I get with pills and its important to me to get healthy before we start trying for a kid again.
  12. Way to go! You look great!
  13. Way to go! You look great!
  14. Ok I will scan it tomorrow and see if I can figure out how to attach it as a .pdf
  15. Hang in there! Ice packs on my upper tummy helped me a lot.
  16. I've been considering buying one - this thread just convinced me!
  17. I know all of our care varies, but if you are looking for something as a reference, fashionstylist- I could scan the booklet I got my from nutritionist for you. Maybe you could show your doc and make sure they are cool with it? I got something really comprehensive.
