  1. Good luck and congrats!!!! I'm post op 5 days. It took 3 days before I could hold even an ounce of anything but clear liquids. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get 2 shakes down! Everyone is different so it's hard to say what to expect. Just listen to your body. If its not ready it will let u know! As far as the lax approach. I suggest not to and there are 2 reason I say this. One is because for a week u will not be taking in enough calories / nutrients so u don't want to completely deprive your body and second most likely the liquids will move thru u once u start drinking the shakes. If u have problems with constipation after the surgery then u can take a stool softener. Hope that helps!
  2. Are u sure its not 200mg. 200ml is a very large dose. if the suspension is 160mg/5ml. That's like 6400mg of ibuprofen. Prescription strength is only up to 800mg not to exceed 3-4 doses. Too much ibuprofen can cause gi bleeding.
  3. Oh cool! Yeah I think it would be too! Congrats on the surgery! Where are u having it done at?
  4. Thanks guys! I'm def ready for the ups and downs. Only ready for the downs cause I know I will have them! I appreciate the support! I'm def hoping to gain some knowledge and experience from this forum and it def sounds like i will! And I def can't wait for the pants to start falling off again!

  8. Yes I got a booklet. Days 3-7 it says to have 3 protein shakes a day along with 2 other items which there was a list for like sf pudding and jello applesauce and yogurt smoothies. I figured liquid was liquid. Just didn't want to screw anything up! I can start creamy soups with no chunks on day 8. Just wasn't sure what exactly was meant. Maybe I will call to clarify. Thanks!!!
  9. Hello I was just banded on the 13th. Was wondering if there were any others that want to join this journey with me that are local! Maybe we could meet up every so often to share success stories!
  10. Just wanted to stop in and say hi! I was banded on the 13th! Can't wait to start seeing results!
  11. I'm post op 4 days. Just started drinking the protein shakes which I'm able to drink a little and a little bit of pudding but I'm having to break it up in more than just the 3 meals. Anyway my question is am I supposed to be on a protein shake diet the first week or is it just liquids in general? I wanted to try some pure liquid soups like tomato with unflavored protein powder to give me a variety is that okay? I didn't really get a self diet plan just whatever was in the book I was given. The protein shake isn't my fav thing and I was hoping to so something more flavorful and maybe that would help with my calorie intake.
