  1. Nope I'm healthy other than my weight!
  2. Ok so I went in and it's 1 of 3 appointments. They just test you basically how many sit ups, wall push ups, stretches, etc you can do within a one minute period. The goal is to improve in each visit.
  3. I have my first visit for PT today as part of my 6 month pre-op. What should I expect?
  4. Jesse I feel the same way!! That's my worst fear!
  5. I believe I will be banded late August early September. I started my 6 month program this month and by the time insurance accepts it all I imagine it will be late July early August.
  6. Starts tomorrow! I hope this goes by quick! I'm SO ready for my journey to begin! I'm ready to keep moving forward instead of stalling and falling back! My anticipated surgery date is late July/mid August. Ahhhhhh!
  7. Wow ok! I was reading somewhere else, though I forget where and they said at least a gallon. 64oz works for me because I get so busy it's hard to drink water let alone drink anything!
  8. Starting today my goal is a gallon of water a day. Is that realistic once banded?
  9. Thanks everyone! I didn't think of it that way. I'm gonna head back to the gym, start on more Water consumptions and research Protein shakes
  10. 1. Seminar - DONE 2. Referral from my doctor - DONE 3. Consultation - January 31st 4. Just informed that my insurance requires 6 months of weight check ups recorded with my primary doctor. I WANT TO CRY. I've done this my whole life. I can lose the weight. I know how to diet and eat healthy but I'm still missing the tool that helps with the rest! I'm going to do it and I have my head in the right positive place but I just hope I don't get discouraged.
  11. The process was hard or the actual band? I expect both
  12. I went to my Lapband seminar tonight. I am PUMPED to get the process started )) I should be getting a call from the office within 2-4 days for my consultation!!!
  13. Tell me too! Same with diet Pepsi. That is gonna be so hard to give up forever :/ I figure high amounts of moderation and things should be ok right?
  14. I'm not a huge drinker but I usually have a beer if I'm in a social setting. Is that off limits forever once I'm banded? I know it's not recommended but would it kill me?
  15. Hi I'm about 20-30 min from Stockton. I have Blue Shield of CA and I switched from Sutter medical group to Mercy medical group so that I could go to Sacramento Bariatric with Dr. Marchado. I'm headed to my orientation on January 7th!
  16. I'm so excited to succeed! I've done so many diets with success but then it comes right back! I already love the gym and know I can follow and choose healthy options. The maintenance and forever feeling beautiful and healthy is getting me so excited. I have orientation January 7th. My birthday is the 8th. I can't imagine giving myself a better present!
  17. "You don't need this.... Just get your head in the right place and workout." I know it's not about what others think it's about me and my life. I've been overweight my whole life and I'm ready for a positive change and a positive self image.
  18. If you call care credit and tell them you're getting the procedure they'll usually up the limit.
  19. Thank you everyone. I'm addicted to this app! My phone battery has gone from 80% to 19% in the matter of a few hours. I can't stop reading and looking at success stories!!
  20. Hi everyone! I'm going to a seminar January 7th and I hope to get my Lapband shortly after that. I'm nervous and excited at the same time!
