I have an under active thyroid and hashimotos disease. I was told no amount of weight I lose will change my thyroid function by an endocrinologist . I have has slow weight loss with every other attempt I have made, except the band. It has been an amazing tool to help my lose weight.

I are done today. The only thing is I can't eat as much steak as I could of ground near or even chicken breast.

The sliming definitely did its job and pushed it through. Does a on happen on its own or do you force it?

I'm sad. Got stuck on whole wheat toast this morning. Slimed for over and hour while driving to dr who said I would need an unfill. I get there and sliming stops. They still took out .4cc. But I'm happy bc they weighed me and I lost 22 lbs since being banded on 12/7/12. Praying to the lap band gods I never get slimed again. Very unpleasant and in attractive experience.

Thanks dough for the feed back. I was sad bc eggs are usually my breakfast choice since bread isn't that easy for me. How does cereal work if its solid and liquid at same time? Can u drink coffee or liquids right after since having milk with it?

I had my first fill 1/1413 and was able to eat scrambled eggs prior too and up until today. Went to eat my Breakfast as usual and kept getting stuck. It was very uncomfortable, but thankful it finally subsided. I tried three times over an hour and it just wouldn't work ( tiny bites, chew like crazy and waiting between bites). I was able to eat lunch and gunned with no problems. What gives? The only thing I did different today was not have my coffee before breakfast.

It still hurts today is this normal?

Banded 12/7/12 I got my first fill yesterday. 4ccs and it wasn't pleasant. Hoping it gets better and each subsequent fill is much smoother. So far I lost 16 pounds and am feeling good. I also just took off the bandaid and realized dr removed a stuck that was popping through and didn't dissolve. All in all I'm feeling good and happy with the band. I definitely felt a difference today when I was able to go back to soft good after the liquids. I think I have some restriction.

Liquid acetomenophin (sp). I can't take pain killers and pain was easily controlled with the liquid.

The doctor didn't numb it. I think I will be bruised since I usually bruise easy. In glad in a way it was 4cc bc I'm semi traumatized for next time.

I had my first fill today. It wasn't they smooth. Dr couldn't find port and was pushing around a lot. Said he was trying to break up scar tissue. 4 tries later I got a 4 cc fill. From your experiences is it this bad each fill or does it get easier?

I get non Sto left side pain. Nothing I try makes it better. Wth is it? Anyone, anyone, bueler??? Lol

I had surgery12/7. Drank a lot of water and tea in hospital then went home and drank my 64 oz a day easily for a week. Was also able to eat / swallow jello. I had hernia repair too w lap band. As food stages approached I had no issues but I followed the rule about eating / drinking and chewing. Pain wise it was discomfort not painting me at least. I just took liquid Tylenol ( the cvs brand) every 4-6 hours and didn't take the pain meds dr sent with me bc they make me vomit. Gas is again very uncomfortable but I listened to my dr and was up walking day n night. I wasn't allowed to use a heating pad til after my 10day post op. now I use it every night before bed bc it helps the discomfort I feel. At about I month post op I finally feel back to myself and eating solids, just follow the rules and be mindful of what and how you are eating. You will do great. A few days of discomfort is worthy a healthy life.

Cvs brand liquid pain reliever helps.

What dies a typical day of food look like at a month post opt?

It's higher then the port like almost under my right breast. It doesn't hurt to touch just looks strange.
