PCP, no referral, no surgery???
- Let the waiting game begin...
Finally got verification from someone at horizon bcbs today that papers have been received and the case has been opened as of yesterday- but of course they have 30 days to decide. In the meantime, I am looking very actively for a new job and have been interviewing and this will need to be done before starting a new job obviously for time off reasons. I hope they decide fast!- My paperwork is final and being sent to my Insurance!!
What kind of insurance do you have?- Let the waiting game begin...
- First one for May???
Mine went by very fast- it wasn't that bad:)- Time off work
- Time off work
I know everyone's recovery varies- but across the board- how much time off did you take when you had the band? I'm an office manager at a dr's office so I won't be doing anything strenuous. I just want to be realistic as I ask for the time off as I do not want anyone at work knowing what I am doing.- Please pist success pics!
Seeing these pics helps. I hope this is the right decision for me and seeing these reaffirms it:)- Sagging skin
When I talked to my surgeon he said I still have enough elasticity in my skin so it shouldn't be a big problem. I'm looking at 80 lbs that I want to lose. Just wondered what exercises were good- I think when I get the ok for exercise I will meet with a trainer. Lordy- thinking ahead- I'm still waiting on insurance approval.- Sagging skin
Looking ahead- what do you guys think the best exercise are for minimizing sagging skin?- BCBS~ Anyone have any idea how long BCBS takes to approve process....
I have horizon bcbs and my plan did require a 6 month supervised diet- just finished it this week. The surgeons office says they have 30 days but typically it only takes 2 weeks.- Insurance & cosmetic surgery
I am 36 and am looking at losing about 80- I was told by my surgeon as long as I exercised from the start that I have enough elasticity left for it not to be a big issue. And believe me I will!- Waiting game
6 month diet over, all evals over, according to the surgeons office - they submitted everything to insurance yesterday- so now I wait...... Nervous since my Bmi is between 35-40 but off of their list I have 5 comorbities listed in my letter from my pcp. Fingers crossed.- Vitamins!!!
Yesterday when I went to the nutritionist she said not to take the gummies as they are missing 2 of the vitamins.- I am back to work today! :(
I'm choosing not to tell anyone at work either. I had already been dropping g hints like "think I might try Atkins diet" that way when I'm drinking protein shakes it won't look so funny- Is it worth a chance???
I swore for years I was 5'8 but when I went to my consult I was 5'6- that was enough to get my Bmi up there- 3 days post-op and dragging
- Pre Op Diet
We are about the same size- I'm 5'6 and 230- I have horizon bcbs nj- go for my last supervised visit next week. I hope I don't have issues with a Bmi of 37.1. According to insurance I must have at least 1 co-morbidity- from the list they provided I have 5. When do you turn your stuff into insurance?- First one for May???
I go for my last supervised visit in 8 days! Hoping for a May date:)- Psych appt done today. What else?
I have horizon bcbs nj-- I go for my last appt next week- we may end up banded Round the same time:)- May surgery dates... please come and join us!
Joining:) last of my appts next week! Hoping for a may date- Psych appt done today. What else?
- Please pist success pics!
Wow! Everyone looks amazing!!! What inspiration!!!- Psych appt done today. What else?
My dr requires the psych eval and nutritional visit. I go for mine tuesday and the last of my 6 month required supervised diet by my insurance next Wednesday. Then fingers .crosses for approval. What was the psych eval like?- 37.1 bmi- chances?
The only appointment they have set up was for the nutrition and pschy eval. I was told they won't schedule upper gi and other testing until insurance approves. I really haven't had much contact with them other than my consultant. This is supposed to be the best center around and I have had several physicians tell me they have not heard any bad stories from this dr. I guess I'm just getting anxious as time gets closer. Trying to make sure I have everything taken care of for hopefully an approval first time thru. - Let the waiting game begin...
