  1. You are so not alone! When I woke up that's the first place I felt it was my right shoulder!! Been the worst part of the surgery!
  2. So that feeling finally went away last night and I had a pudding cup. Now on to today, I drank maybe 1/2 cup of my protein shake and have had I pudding cup and am having a different type of pain- mainly in the middle of my back- I'm assuming this is still gas related. I'm extremely tired today as well. Second day back at work and haven't slept the best the past 2 nights.
  3. Thanks guys:) still have some discomfort but feeling it in my back as well so wonder if it could be has related. No foaming or anything. Geesh what a feeling. If 1/4 cup of potatoes is all its gonna take to fill me up- hallejulah!
  4. Thanks- I hope I haven't screwed something up!
  5. I cannot believe this! Today is my first full day on solid liquids. I has surgery June 13. I had maybe 1/4 cup on instant mashed potatoes with some unflavored protein in it and now I feel like I have a horrendous burp with a bit of nausea. I really tried to eat small bites an slow and did fine with them last night. Do ya'll think I'm stuck and if so how long til it passes.
  6. They also gave me my next appointment which will be July 10- they said I would get a fill that day.
  7. Just came from my follow up with the surgeon:) they have released me to solid liquids! So happy! I can have instant mashed potatoes, grits, cream of wheat, yogurt, pudding, cream soups. I stopped an bought some unflavored protein to add in with my food. I will get to go on solid foods July 3:) right in time for the holiday:)
  8. I had surgery on the 13th. Last night was the first night I slept in my bed. I chose my recliner due to gas discomfort. It was, for me, the most comfortable place.
  9. I haven't slept in my bed since surgery Thursday. I've been in the recliner. I work up with a bit of pain in one shoulder this am but it was gone by 10- none since then:)
  10. Lucky! I'm thinking of going back on my Protein shakes tomorrow. It's day 6 one day early, but I am starving!
  11. It took me 4 days post op before having one but mine have been- of course all I'm getting in are liquids.
  12. I was banded Thursday and just today started to feel like myself- with the exception of being extremely hungry
  13. My surgeons office also said to use bariatric advantage. I have found numerous flavorful recipes with the vanilla!
  14. Sitting at home unable to do much has my mind racing from boredom. However I just realized in 13.7 pounds I will be in Onederland!! I haven't been there in 13 years! Motivation in itself!
  15. After reading numerous posts- it's really strange how there is such difference in post op diets. Why are some allowed to start on other food so soon before others? Makes ya wonder why there is such a difference.
  16. Mine is in my right shoulder. I used ice up until yeaterday and am now using heat. Will be glad when it's gone!
  17. Every doctor is different- I failed on mine a couple of times- however I chose wisely. The first 2 days were the worst! I ended up eating a grilled chicken breast and steamed broccoli for a meal. Another day I ended up eating a lean cuisine. Then the day before I went on my clear liquid diet I had a hot dog. Not encouraging you to do so by any means- just don't want you to feel like your alone. I was banded last Thursday.
  18. Hallelujah!! I just burped! What a relief!
  19. I don't want to lose my cup size! That's the one thing on me I actually liked!
  20. I feel ya but I work in a dr's office. I didn't want to say anything I might have to have removed down the road. The girls that work for me saw me go on a protein diet a few weeks ago. I told them I drink a shake for breakfast, lunch and eat a resonable dinner. I wanted a week off per my surgeons guidelines so its female related. I had a couple cysts removed from my ovary. I feel horrible lying to people!!! However this is very personal to me and its my choice. Good luck!
