Is there anyone that was was banded at Kaiser Richmond that can tell me what is expected of me before banding. What tests and procedures are required? What is estimated time from first meetign to band date? How much weight is required to lood before band date? How long is the hospital stay? What is pre-op diet? Any and everything you can tell me would be helpful. Thanks, Debbie

Today I scheduled my first appointment toward the lapband surgery. I believe this 4 hr appointment is with a surgeon and other staff, I have no idea what to expect . Is it possible to control the amount of weight loss? How long does it take to get a surgery date? What happens during presurgery, post surgery etc? I would appreciate anyinfo, suggestions, tips etc. Thank you, Debbie

Hi my name is Debbie. I'm 57yrs old. I was just referred to an orientation meeting for banding. I'm super excited, but a bit scared also. Currently I eat a LOT and really fast. I will be having my banding done at Kaiser Hospital in Richmond, Ca. I would like to know what happens, before banding and after banding. Also any helpful tips are very appreciated. Thanks, Debbie
