I Have Stopped Losing!
I'm in the same boat guys! Sleeved March 11 and down 72 lbs. Stalled for 2.5 months from July until October 5th. Actually gained 10 lbs during my stall (guess it's not really a stall). Anyway, last week I dropped 6 lbs and got down to 159. Now I'm back up to 161. It's so frustrating. My goal is 155 and I wouldn't mind getting down to 145. I just want to make my first goal weight then focus on the next goal. I'm so close and I work out 5-6x a week, get all my protein and water but the scale just isn't giving me the results. Luckly I also take measurements so I know I'm losing inches but still! I'm glad I'm not alone. By the way, I'm 5'6" and big boned and would love to be wearing a size 10 but I'm still in a 13/14 but I did just buy size 6 underware and size medium jogging pants so it was a nice little NSV!!!

Beef Jerky
I Just bought a food dehydrated at Walmart for $25 and made my own jerky. Used low sodium soy sauce and liquid smoke. Added a couple orange slices, chopped garlic, worstshire sauce and all sorts of spices. I bought a cheap cut of meat and sliced it about 1/4" thick strips and let it soak in the brine in my fridge for a day and a half. Then i placed it on the racks of my dehydrator and let it go for the day. I rotated the racks throughout the day so they would all dehydrate evenly. Oh, I forgot to mention, make sure you use paper towels to blot all the extra juice from your jerky before you put it in the dehydrator. I like to line a cookie sheet and then place the meat one it and use another bunch of paper towels to blot the extra juice off.

Pb2
I just found an alternative to PB2 if you don't have sore near you that carries it. It's called Betty Lous Just Good Stuff. It's the same as PB2 and tastes just as good. I found it at Hi Health.

Pb2 Alternative
Too funny, there used to be a low carb mall here in Phoenix but it's now closed. Just my luck!

Pb2 Alternative
What's a low carb grocery store??? Where can I find one of those????

Pb2 Alternative
I did it! I found an alternative to PB2 that doesn't need to be shipped. If you love peanut butter like I do but hate the calories, give this powdered peanut butter a try. It's called Betty Lou's Just Good Stuff Organic Powdered Peanut Butter. Its sold at Hi Health and costs $7.99. A little bit more than PB2 from Bell Plantation but after you figure shipping cost it's comes out to about the same price. I just got this yesterday and I love it! Only 45 calories for 2 tbsp vs. 190 Calories for the regular stuff. I'm mixing it with my Unjury protein powder for my breakfast shake. It's sooo good! Just thought I'd share my great find with you all.

Trying To Learn A New Way Of Eating Pre Op
I just started putting salsa in my cottage cheese and I really like it. Also try ricotta with some maranara sauce. I eat a ton of shrimp and I make a greek yogurt wasabi sauce which I love on my salmon too. I tend to get most of my protein from fish and cheese since I dislike meat. Just watch the calories with the cheese.

Strange Nsv
Unfortunately I am a slave to the scale and I always relate my weight loss to scale victories. Today is a different story though. As I was giving my daughter a bath I was leaning over and realized that I was resting my chin on my chest. There was no roll of fat or extra skin between my chin and my chest. It sits right on there! OMG! I'm freaking out about it! It's awesome! LOL!

March Roll Call!
Hi all, any March sleevers having a stall? I've been stalled for a full 2 months with slight weight gain. I eat everything I'm supposed to and exercise regularly. I picked up jogging and can now run a complete mile (huge milestone). I was wondering if any of you have reached a long stall and what you did to overcome it. I am putting myself back in liquids tomorrow but I dont know if it is going to help. Just looking for a few success stories to get myself believing that this is not a permanent stall!

Plateau And Small Weight Gain
Thanks Zeus. I have actually tried to cut back on the almonds lately but I have been eating the wasabi & soy flavor by Blue Diamond. They have 170 cal per 28 nuts. Not sure of the fat but I will def switch to raw from now on. Being stuck at 163 for 2 months is disheartening because I have been doing all the right things and im less than 10 lbs from goal. Im just getting scared that I'm going to gain all my weight back. This journey us just an emotional roller coaster! Lol!

Major Stall
Shannon I'm going through the same thing. I'm 7 months out and haven't lost anything in over a month. matter of fact I'm up 4 lbs and frustrated as can be. I got to within 5 lbs of goal and then I started to gain. I'm still stuck and having a hard time! I heard that we can shock ourselves into losing again by going back to liquids for a few days. I'm about ready to try it. I have even upped my exercise routine pumped up my protein and water...still nothing but a 1 lb gain!!! Ugh!!!!!

Unflavored Protein
I use Unjury in chocolate (love it) and chicken (love love love it). I mix the chicken with everything. Even started mixing it with my spaghetti squash...tastes like chicken top ramen!!! The chocolate is good in the morning and I have heard if you mix thin mint cookies with it it's even better (haven't tried due to calories but sounds delishous).

Please Help Me With My Hair Lost
I began to lose a lot of hair around 5 months post op. Having super thin hair already, I was mortified. I did all kinds of researched found out that not meeting your protein requirement is partly to blame. I went to walmart and bought biotin (5000mg) and I take 2 a day. I'm now 7 mo out and my hair has stopped falling out (quickly slowed after I started biotin) and I have a ton of new growth on top. My sprouts shoot out all over the place. I would suggest upping your protein and using biotin and seeing what happens.

Upbeat Song Suggestions
I started using jogtunes indie podcast. I like the consistent upbeat tempo. The host breaks in at the beginning of every song with a BMP announcement which helps when I'm jogging but I ignore it if I'm just doing basic cardio or walking. The pace changes which is nice bc you get ur heartrate pumping then are able to slow it a little. It's really motivating. Check it out on iTunes. You can download the podcasts for free.

I'm In Az Looking For A Buddy
My sleeve journey is a bit different than most. I had the band for 7 years but developed gastric ulcers and didn't know it. My stomach basically exploded and they had no choice but to operate. When they opened me up there was nothing left. 10% was all they could save. I basically had a full gastrectormy which is a surgery reserved for patients with stomach cancer. until that point my weight loss journey had been just that... A journey! Having the sleeve has been a weight loss express train! I lost 30 lbs in the first month but it was all water weight from being in a coma for a week. I'm down a total of 70 lbs (40lb from water). I love the sleeve but have been stuck for the last 2 months. I've even gained some weight which scares the crap out of me. Any of you going thru this? If so, what did you do to jump start your weight loss? Btw, I had Dr. Terry Simpson do my band and my sleeve and he's amazing!

2 Month Stall Finally Broken !
Thank you. Perhaps I need to let go a little. When it comes to the scale I'm obsessed! If the scale goes up at all I freak out. I usually gain about 4 lbs around my time of the month but then I struggle to lose it afterwards. It's very frustrating to gain 4 then only lose 2 then gain another 4. I think I'll try to stay off the scale for awhile and get myself a measuring tape instead.
