  1. Logging is a tool. There are many tools for success. Measuring, eating slowly, putting the fork down between bites, 35 chews, no snacking, no drinking with meals, stopping when full, eating protein first. The log is a concrete record of what you eat. I had stopped logging and am now trying to get back to using my fitness pal. I remind myself of these tools for success. We need them to have long term success IMHO.
  2. Wow Gen! You look awesome, you and daughter look so much alike now.
  3. Very funny. I have gas all the time. It's embarrassing. I am trying to eliminate foods to see if there is a pattern. I know that some sugar substitutes are to blame for some of the problems. Stevia seems to be the least gassy for me. My Nut said to try a probiotic. I am on my second brand hoping for some relief. I would need to take gas-x all day long. I welcome any suggestions, a cork is not an option.
  4. Have someone bring it to you the second day. The first day is a little blurry.
  5. You may be referring to melting shredded Cheese in the microwave on wax paper. It comes out like a great little cracker.
  6. I love my fitness pal! Add me 2katmandu.
  7. Fuzzy Navel is my favorite. I also like the Crystal Sky flavor. Best prices were on Amazon. I can not drink the thick chocolate ever again. Two weeks of them pre-op was all I could take. I never thought I would tire of chocolate. Tastes do change.
  8. Finally the scale is moving..... 4 pounds this week after a 2 week stall. HW 242 SW 222 12/5/12 Today's 189 Slow and steady

  17. Surgery Date 12/5/12 HW 237 2/26/12 DOS 222 pre op loss 15 lbs. 3 months Weight 193 Total loss 44 Loss from DOS 29 Slow and sure, it's a marathon not a sprint.
  18. My surgery was 12/5/2012. I was 222 day of surgery and yesterday at my 3 month I am 193. It's much slower than I expected. I exercise 4 times a week. I eat per plan. Dr says because of weight range, height, expect 2/3 pounds a week. I am 57 and I have wrecked my metabolism over years of crazy yoyo diets. I am happy with my progress. It's difficult when you compare yourself with others seeming to be in the same weight range. This is an individual journey, I love the support here. I joined fitness pal and watch my progress. I think it help keep me honest. Join and friend me. 2katmandu Mary Jo
  19. I am early but I lost 4 pounds this week after a 2 week stall. Wonder/onederland finally. My weight loss is slow. Only 26 pounds in 11 weeks. Total of 41 lost. I have not been in onederland in many years. So thrilled to be here now. The best part is the scale will keep going down. Yes!

  21. I finally reached onederland with a 4 pound loss. Yea me! This weight loss is really slow. Much slower than I ever expected. I was 222 at surgery on 12/5/12. So I have lost 26 pounds in 12weeks. I am NOT complaining, just want to share.
  22. There was no post from her. A user profile shows your last log in. Go to the beginning of the thread and click on her user name. It will go to her profile and it records you last log in. I hop she is ok.
