  1. I'm 4 months in my journey and lost 22 kilos. But I honestly don't feel a difference. Is it because I'm morbidly obese?
  2. Lately my weight loss seemed to have stopped and it looks as if I'm gaining weight. I havnt done anything different same thing all this time and I'm gaining weight all of a sudden. I don't notice a difference in my restriction either. Is this normal?
  3. I didn't start feeling restrictions until around 9cc but everyone is different
  4. When it comes to food I'm not fussy I will eat whatever. The reason I had the band done is because I simply ate too much even though it's not take away or bbq meals. I never really had a problem with junk food only had it on occasion. drinks on the other hand are my weakness (not alcohol) I love my soft drinks and energy drinks. Is it possible to lose weight while still having drinks? I can cut to the sugar free range but I must have drinks. Of course I still do drink Water but I can't do without my drinks. I asked the doctor and he says diet soda is ok but just gotta watch out as it's still calories. Can't be too much calories though right?
  5. I'm at 9cc at the moment which the doctor says is quite high but lately I'm eating more than usual. 1 cup of food easily satisfied me but now I find it takes me between 2-3 cups to fill me up. That's a big change in my opinion at least. I'm wondering if there could be a leak or something? Band slipped? I would see the doctor but he's out for the holidays and new years. Anyone experience this?

    anyone at 9cc?

My doctor said it's unusual for me to start feeling the full effects of the band so late. And I still think it's not enough. It's a big improvement but I am still hungry in the mornings and can't stick to 3 meals a day. I think 10cc could be the sweet spot for me.
  7. If I can tolerate soda is that a bad thing? I heard that it gives you a lot of pain but I feel nothing at all.
  8. I'm about to flip out. I am being pressured by my dad to lose my weight. He wants 30kg in 2 months. He wants me work my ass off in this fuckin heat wave of 40.c and makes me eat chilli all because he believes the hot weather and chilli is fast for losing weight. I can't handle hot weather. It drives me crazy to the point of making me wanna kill someone. It makes me mentally unstable. I don't know what to do. He can't except a slow weight loss. My father is the type that will not accept anyone else's ideas or opinions he only believes in what he thinks. My mother was right to divorce him. I just feel like suiciding at this point. I don't know what to do but maybe turn to drugs to help me forget.

    about to meltdown

I'm in Australia I'll do the profile later. Here at the moment it's summer. Thanks for your concern I get like that when I'm exposed to the really hot weather. I just can't tolerate it it all. I live with my dad but I am thinking of moving to my mums. I was here so I could lose my weight but it wasn't working out and I had the band done. Yet my father isn't satisfied he thinks the band is a miracle. I don't need him anymore. This band has done better than all his methods combined and I will keep going at this pace.

    scales

So I'm curious how people weigh them selves. I'm using a home scale but it's always giving different numbers so im never sure.
  13. mesmus

    scales

Then how do you know which figure is right?
  14. mesmus

    scales

I got very confused yesterday when I weighed myself and I put on a kg over the week I couldn't believe it. Then I tried again today and it showed different, half a kilo lost. It's so stressful stepping onto the scale :[

    Who Has 11Cc Band?

I have one of them. Currently sitting at 9cc. The restriction is a huge difference from previous fills. I have to eat super slow and small bites chewed good or else I throw up. So now I believe I'm in the green zone. Oh and don't worry about throwing up its all part of learning to live with the band. Also you will feel much relief from throwing up.
  16. Dietician says I'm allowed to have diet drinks like coke zero while the doctor says it's not ok. Dietician says eat a balanced meal of veggie and meat. Doctor says just eat meat (animal protein) So from what I see The Dietician I go to specializes in lap band dieting. This doctor bases he's method on what the patients have had success with over the years. So high Protein low carbs is his method. Who should I listen to? I'm confused.
  17. I don't think us lap band patients are gonna have any metabolism with the way we eat. Anyway, I don't eat tbh don't really feel that hungry in the morning usually around 10 ill eat. Don't know if it's for everyone but, apparently the tighter the band gets, the later you will feel hungry. Before my recent fill I was getting hunger bashing my head in in the morning but now I don't feel it until late. Something to do with the band being tighter in the mornings.

How Often Do You Get Stuck?

I was recently bumped up to 9 CCs which the doctor said there may be a chance I can't even swallow my own spit. But I seem to be doing fine eating. Now I seem to get stuck though and threw up. looks like I gotta start chewing like there's no tomorrow.
  20. My doctor says my diet is to eat just animal Protein nothing else to lose weight. He said this is what my patients have had success with over the years. I find it odd that I should be ONLY be eating animal protein to lose weight. Anyone done this before? Or know if it? First time I'm hearing this.
  21. Not majority, all of it. Anyway I'm going to see him again in 2 weeks and see what happens.
