  1. Congratulations and good luck.
  2. Good luck to you! Waiting is the hardest thing. Hope it all works out. Keep us posted.
  3. Less than 4 days until surgery and it's on to the next step!! I cannot believe how fast time is going by. Had my pre-admission and lab work done Thursday along with my EKG and was told by the RN that I was in good health and should have no problems. I must be doing something right. She was awesome! She had me laughing and then at the last minute ask me to be still for the EKG. How is everyone else doing?
  4. Definitely "The Big Book". Just got it last week and really has some great info. Thanks!
  5. OMGosh! I cannot even imagine what you are going through! Will keep you in my prayers for a safe and speedy recovery. Please keep us posted.
  6. FINALLY!! Sept 19th (3 days after my 54th birthday). I started the pre-op for ins back in Oct of last year. Had my last weigh in on Apr 16 and was so excited to have it all done. Took to my surgeons office and was told 2 days later that my insurance did not cover. It was an exclusion to my policy. OMG. My world came crashing down!! But, all is great now. Because of my neighbor, who also had this done, mentioned checking with my other insurance, and I found out this past Wednesday, they are going to cover the surgery.

  8. My neighbor had it done in Jan this year and mine will be in May. I wanted to do with her but had to do the 6 month weigh in for insurance. One more to go!Anyway, I know the surgeons nurse has been over helpful to her with any questions or concerns. Good luck to ya
  9. I have not had the surgery yet, but I am doing Curves right now. It's great. It works your whole body and it only takes 30 minutes a day. Right now I'm going 3x a week. They also offer Zumba 2 times a week. Good luck!
