  1. Teresa!!!! I am so glad to see updated pictures of you! I agree with everyone else... the picture of you on the beach is awesome and makes a great avatar! You are such a cutie! Oh... and the hubby... hubba hubba. You are just like a butterfly emerging from her cocoon! Darcy
  2. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW... but ya just can't be mad at that cute wittle face! She really is adorable and I hope she gave you a big sllllluuuurrrrp on the face to say sorry! Darcy
  3. Wow Ginny... sounds like a big life change but one that should be really rewarding! Good Luck to you and your hubby! Darcy
  4. Leatha... thanks for sharing the pics... what a beautiful family you have! Darcy
  5. Penni... you look great and HAPPY... that's the most important "look" of all! Darcy
  6. Hiya Kimberly! So glad to hear that you were safely transported to bandland! I wasn't given a specific brand for Protein supp... was just told to choose a whey Protein Drink and that my total daily protein intake should be 60 grams or more. I chose powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chocolate flavor and the unflavored mixed with the low carb carnation instant Breakfast. My diet orders were a lot different than yours... but while I was on Clear liquids... popsicles were my best friend... as well as SF Jello. When you get to full liguids... yogurt without chunks of fruit goes down well and NF pudding. I also ate cream of tomato Soup and other strained cream Soups during the full liquid stage. I don't know if you saw the pics of my belly after being banded... I'll attatch one just so that you won't feel alone with your bruising! Congratulation girlie! Darcy
  7. COngratulations Michelle!!! You must be on cloud nine! WTG!!! Marie... fantastic tude! I hope you feel better soon! I went from 222... to 221.8... I guess I'll be happy that it was a loss in the smallest form! I don't think I have been overeating... and I was pretty active... BUT... yesterday... everything I ate was loaded with salt. Soooo... quite honestly... I don't think I will be able to keep myslef from weighing again this week. I just need to see those numbers go under 220... need to see it badly! I am having a HUGE craving for a Snickers bar and I am not a big candy eater... wonder what that's all about!?!?!?! THe only thing stopping me is that my need for seeing the numbers go under 220. Hope everyone has a good week... Darcy
  8. Happy Birthday Penni!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'll have ta save your spanking until you get back from your trip! Hope you are having a wonderful time!!!! Darcy :banana :Bunny :banana :Bunny :banana :Bunny :banana

  11. Congratulations Ryan! I remember feeling like I was running in sand until I got my actual date... THEN... I felt like I was going somewhere! I think your family get-together has quite the potential for being extremely entertaining! Please do tell us more about them as it makes my family look pretty darn normal! I am pretty lucky when it comes to family... not a serious bone amongst us! Soon you will be a real bandboy! BTW... great pic! I love being able to put a face with the name! TTFN Darcy
  12. WOO HOO CHANTAL!!!!!! You go girl! :banana
  13. Good to see you here Chantal! Awesome exercising girl! If I ran for two seconds I'd need CPR! Betty... Soon! Until then... we will entertain you! I shall put on my pink tu tu and dance for you!
  14. Hey Guys... Teresa... congrats on the continued loss! Soon you will be in twoterville! Michelle... Sounds like you will be joining Teresa in twoterville as well! I'll be routing for both of you! You are kicking butt in the exercise department! Lisa... Good to see you back and to see that you are feeling a bit better! Honestly... if you ever need to chew on somebody's ear... I'd be happy to share my tele # with ya! Sorry about the car problems... when I was a single Mom and struggling financially... I called to check on the status of my car that I had dropped off due to problems... when the guy told me how much it was going to be I started bawling right then and there... poor fella... he was beside himself...lol. I'm glad those days are behind me! Marie... I hope you had a happy anniversary and that you are feeling better! Betty... dang girl... I can hardly wiat for you to get your very own band o gold! It's going to look very nice with your Harley! Well... I have been doing pretty well... I'm amazed that I am not terribly restricted after my fill of 2cc's. Maybe it will kick in later??? I can eat a whole lean cuisine without any difficulty and I find that I am hungry in between meals... maybe the next fill in October will get me to my sweet spot! Anyhoo... trying to behave myself! I need to get on the treadmill today... I'll start my self-pep talk right now! (((hugs))) Darcy
  15. Welcome Karen! Sounds like you are doing a wonderful job with your band! THis is a great site and hope you come to love this place as much as I have! Darcy
  16. Welcome Lisa and congratulations on being banded! This is a wonderful place to find support and information and develop wonderful freindships... again... Welcome! Darcy
  17. Welcome Sarah! It looks like you have a very healthy outlook about your future expectations and what a wonderful gift your mother has given you! Wishing you continued success and health with your new band! Darcy
  18. Miss Ginny... you are a beautiful girl! Marie... I understand how you feel... I simply hate being captured by the camera! BUT... we love ya and would love being able to put a face with the name! Darcy
  19. Welcome Max's Mom! Good luck... it sounds like you are well on your way! I hope everything works out as far as your insurance! In regards to popcorn... I was never told to avoid it and have eaten it without difficulty. I probably wouldn't attempt it if I was really restricted after a fill... but it wnet down just fine for me. THe only thing I have had some trouble with is soft bread... other than that... I eat the foods I ate before banding... just less. I also crave protein now... not carbs as before... this is a great thing for me! Darcy
  20. Welcome Jemigirl! You'll find oodles of support and great information here! Darcy
  21. Hey Kimberly! How are you today?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Sending you calming vibes for your surgery tomorrow! Good Luck!!!!! Darcy
  22. Yup... and after that you can call me... we'll keep those lips a flapping... talk your doggone ears off! Darcy
  23. Betty... Have they told you how far out they are booking surgeries???? Not that this will give you an exact date... my surgeon and his office staff told me they were booking two weeks out and my surgery was booked over a month out... but it might give you a better idea of the time frame. I am so sorry that you are paying out of pocket for the whole procedure... but you are right... it will be worth every penny! Miss Lisa... I think a lot of us have an addictive nature... at least I know that I do. I have used food as a cure-all for everything! What I am learning is that I have to deal with the problems that lead me to self-medicate with food or any other substance. It seems easier to get that quick "feel good" response from food... alcohol... shopping... sex... etc... but in the longrun it makes our life so much more difficult and doesn't provide longlasting happiness. (((hugs))) I hope this will become a journey to a less self-destructive way of dealing with stress and core issues... I know it really has become that for me. Darcy
  24. I agree with Miss Marie... listen to your body when you take in fluids... I was able to drink normally almost from day one... I didn't guzzle down the Water or anything... just took normal drinks. SF popsicles also helped my thirst factor. Wishing you speedy recovery... hang in there... it'll get better everyday! Darcy
  25. I sure hope so Betty! It's tough not being able to use it... I just looked at it longingly while doing 2 miles on the treadmill today...LOL. I can see my skin sagging already and since I don't think I can talk myself into more surgery... I'm going to hope that this machine will help minimize the sag factor! So Miss Betty... when is your big day again????? Must be coming up pretty soon???? It seemed like forever when I was waiting for my surgery day but then whammo... it arrived quicker than I expected! Posting here really helped me through the wait. Darcy
