  2. Day 4 - Made it through the seminar will all that food and deserts. Thank goodness for the instant broth. Got home last night and came up with some recipes for those who are interested. First I created a vegetable broth. Water, carrots, onions, celery, broccoli, lots of garlic cloves and dill spices. I drink the broth for lunch and have the veggies for dinner. Also, I threw some cauliflower in the oven, sprayed it with fat free non stick cooking spray and sprinkled some paprika and garlic. Another interesting dish with cauliflower (which I didn't make last night) is to steam the heck out of it and then mash it. The mashed cauliflower almost tastes like mash potatoes. Also, does anyone know if squash is allowed? The only vegetable no-no's my doctor told me was corn, peas, potatoes or beans.
  3. I am on day 3 of this pre-op diet. Today was the toughest. Attended a seminar and the smell of the hotel preparing lunch was distracting. Good thing I brought my chicken both and I made it through lunch.

  5. After many months of delays (mostly due to my doctor's staff's issues), I am scheduled for Friday October 12th. Will I be able to go work on the following Monday (either driving in or taking the NYC subway)?
