  1. I have to do three weeks liquid diet because I weigh so much But I'm going to do it! I'm hoping it will help me curb my emotional eating...not that I'm a whack job but i eat for the wrong reasons. My plan is to just drink a protein shake when i can't imagine i'm going to make it one more minute without something in my stomache. But still get all the shakes in on one day..don't want to deprive myself - ha. You're going to need all the support you can get with all those little ones around - ha! Just remember to breathe before you react Let's keep in touch!
  2. My surgery date is Jan. 17. I start the liquid diet on Dec. 27. I, too, have been reading a lot of posts. Everyone is so helpful and nice. It's good to know that there will be support from others like me when I need it. All I know right now is after surgery you eat protein first then veggies then fruit. I'm sure your doctor will give you instructions. Talk soon!
  3. Anyone else scheduled for Jan. 17 or around there? I start my liquid diet in 3 days. My last meal will be mexican! Already had pizza and a big fat juicy cheeseburger earlier this week. While I will miss some foods, I am so ready to lose weight and keep it off!!!
  4. Hi. I'm new to this website and anxious to get to know everyone. I've done all of the testing and am now waiting for insurance to approve it. I have 150 lbs minimum to lose. I know it won't happen over night and it's a lot of work. I've failed at so many attempts to lose weight so I'm hoping the lap band will be an effective tool to help me achieve my goals. I just have to get my mind and body to work together. Speaking of that, I vaguely remember someone telling me about a 12-week program to change your eating habits. It was a website and you had to sign up and pay to participate. Does anyone know about that?
