  1. I just contacted quest through the link another person posted and within an hour I got the order number for the 2 free quest bars. If you want to see these quest bars I'm guessing you have to email them.
  2. Ha I'm having that problem with new pants! I'm like um since when did they start making regular pants inseam longer. People just look at me like I'm a freak when I ask that. But it's true I've always had to deal with tall jeans being way to long or regular being short and now regulars are long!
  3. Realizing that knee high boots do/will fit me this fall and receiving multiple compliments on my size M dress. My dad pointed out when I kept getting them that no one ever commented on my clothes pre op.
  4. So good! http://www.emilybites.com/2011/07/lasagna-cupcakes.html?m=1
  5. Final product: lasagna cupcake and a piece of garlic cheese wonton
  6. I was thinking the same but I also have a mini loaf pan that I tend to make turkey meatloaf a in. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0000DIX7P
  7. Has anyone tried freezing these?
  8. I wanted to do either tamale pie or turkey chili in the crock pot but they both take 10 hours. I figured this out at 2pm today... So I think I'm going to make lasagna cupcakes! I haven't made them before but I see them all over the place.
  9. I had a 6 months supervised diet and on the 6 visit I was able to submit my final paper and have the final appointments with my bariatric clinic. I asked that same question and no one would give me a clear answer so I figured well if they deny it ill go another month but everything was approved
  10. I think it's completely normal to be nervious and scared at this point. I can promise you that the first few weeks are tough but your life will be better and will be normal you just won't eat the insane sizes anymore. Go to the hospital strong and have a speedy recovery.
  11. My hospital wouldn't release me till I had a BM. They gave me laxatives every night and the third morning after surgery I had a BM. If you aren't in the hospital call them for either prescription laxatives or the best kind to get. The first few weeks are the roughest! You won't feel sore forever and you will be able to eat normal foods again.
  12. I focus on just eating the right things. Items like bread actually don't appeal to me anymore of course my old thoughts come back of how much I love it but once I try it again I'm let yeah... Not worth it. I think just the new life style in general can be paleo like but try to avoid making yourself go on another diet. Life after sleeve you don't have to deprive yourself just learn what are the right foods and the sleeve will control the portion size.

Ok I keep hoping skinny jeans will go out of style because they look horrible on anyone that isn't skinny. I'd say try them when you get out of plus size so maybe a 10 or 8? I do agree wear them when you feel comfortable but we've all seen people who look horrible in them.
  14. But I've also had days where my stomach just can't hold much and days I'm like did I seriously just eat that much!?
  15. Maybe it's just me but I've noticed by night time my stomach seems to hold more. In the morning it can't hold much so I stick with liquids and by lunch I can eat some but not to the same extent I can around dinner time. Do you think the sleeve is tight in the morning and starts to relax throughout the day as we put liquid and food into it?
  16. I bought a flex a little while ago. The only con I have found is I really don't think it knows you are walking when you go shopping and pushing a cart. I have done a ton of shopping it was only showing one solid dot. I like that you can change out the bands so you aren't stuck with the same color.
  17. Well good thing we don't have the dumping syndrome! Plus that seems odd I've never heard of major complications from dumping.
  18. I doubt any damage was caused, 50-60 grams of protein that early seems good the only thing I focused on other than protein was to get at minimum 700 calories after 6 weeks post op because that's the minimum your brain needs to function. If you are worried about muscle lost ask your dr is you're clear to start exercising. I was cleared at 2 weeks and started going to the gym by week 4.
  19. It's amazing once you realize you have no clothes anymore but its so nice to say goodbye to the bigger clothes knowing you'll never go back to them! enjoy it!
  20. I just gave all my winter jackets to the goodwill because they are now three times too big!! I hope it won't be a cold winter! I still don't want to buy many clothes till I'm at goal since the weight is coming off so quickly and I'm going through sizes every month.
  21. Thanks! There are some great ideas in that link. It's funny my eyes still haven't adjusted to my stomach size because I looked at some of tho and thought that's not much food but then realized actually that's more than I can eat.
  22. I need some lunch ideas I've been doing the same thing for weeks now because its easy and in a small portion. Normally I do meat and cheese or meat and cream cheese on a couple crackers. It need to be something easy since I work and only have access to a fridge and microwave while at work. Looking forward to your suggestions!
