  1. Congrats! Your dad sounds like mine, but my daddy feels there is nothing wrong with me. I get it, they love us no matter what and can't understand why someone would "choose" to have surgery if they didn't have too. I tell my dad after things are already done so he doesn't freak out. LOL Best wishes!!
  2. I still have to do that test, glad it wasn't bad. Good Luck today, but your probably already at the hospital
  3. I hope not I have it too. My PCP sent me to a blood specialist and I learned they can give you iron through a IV. So I would not worry about it.
  4. That test was the worse, but the nurse said you either have it or you don't. I was SO happy not to have it, but the test did show my heart beat was abnormal which I knew already. Good Luck!!
  5. I had to do two visits, one was a background type of visit the second was a bunch of questionaires. So maybe yours is all rolled into one. They want to make sure you understand what this is, what is required and the work you have to put in to be successful. I think they also look for eating disorders, abusive / addictive behaviors and if you need extended Psych care. At the end of my visit the doc told me all the things I am okay on and I didn't know she was looking for that. Don't worry! Best Wishes
  6. Check to see why you were not approved, maybe they were just missing some paperwork or documentation they require. Good Luck!
  7. Do your best! No one can ever do more than that. Don't make this stress you so much it makes you eat or keep you from losing. You can do it! Good Luck!!
  8. Hi! I'm new too I am just stalking this site to learn all I can, along with YouTube and reading books on nutrition. Best wishes to you!
  9. YAY! I was thinking there was a problem with the coding too. I always stay in network to have the bills covered I don't want to pay for the doctor bills they can get crazy. Best Wishes!! Keep us posted on your surgery date!
  10. How about water fountains. Are you guys allowed to stop and take drinks? If so everytime you see one (unless your walking with someone ) stop and take a drink
  11. Praying for you! Hope you are feeling better soon!
  12. It will be your turn before you know it!! Best Wishes and Happy Birthday

  15. I'm glad your doing so well. I have read some posts that have really scared me. Some of the post op experiences have been very hard. I'm worried because I was in so much paid arfer the lap band surgery. Hang in there Vicki. I know the depression will get the better when the weight is gone and you look in the mirror and see this new healthy beautiful confident woman (HUGS)
  16. I'm just starting too. I am on my 4th month of the 6 months required diet, Cardiac Clearance done and Psych Eval done. I still have a few things to do, but we can be buddies!
  17. Awesome! Congrats
  18. I have never read a post like this on any of the sites. I didn't know this was possible so thanks for sharing. Wishing you lots of luck!
  19. Yikes! Sorry that happened. My Mom and Dad had similar issues. I was so happy when they divorced about 14 years ago, now everything is great I love them this way, no arguing, just peace. Best Wishes (Hugs)
  20. Thank You Vicki! I'm sure it will all work out, I have a very supportive team of doctors too... She's a new doc so I guess we just have to get to know each other. How is your pain? How have you been feeling?
  21. Hello Everyone! I am new to the RNY community; I came from Lap Band Talk. I am currently in the process of trying to get a revision. I have not been successful with the lap band and my doctors now feel the lap band is just not as successful as anticipated. Some people do amazing with the tool and some of us don't. I am 4 months into my 6 month diet; cardiac clearance is complete along with my psych evaluation. I still need the letter of necessity from my primary care Physician. I am nervous and haven’t asked for it, although we have already discussed this revision. I am one of those that don’t like asking people for things and GOD forbid if I have to ask more than once. I should mention this is a new PCP and I have only been there 2 months. My last doctor was a piece of work and I had to have my heart doctor get the letter of medical necessity from him because he was giving me a hard time. I can’t wait to meet the healthy, skinny me. She’s in there somewhere… But first she needs a letter from her PCP
  22. Congrats! Best wishes
