July Butterflies Master Thread
My period came today. It just completely skipped the month of January. It's never done that before. Anyway, now I'm free to get a fill so I scheduled one for next Tuesday. I'm going to ask for just .25 cc this time. Normally I don't tell them how much, they've always just put in .5 cc after the first attempt at 1 cc which turned out way too much at once.

I never want to go through that again. I didn't realize that about FB, are you sure those bats on the View had all the facts?

PG says she likes me so I'm confident she's telling God every day what a lovely person I am. My DH plucks mine every evening while we snuggle on the couch in front of the TV. He finds it relaxing and says it's the best way for him to destress from the day. My legs have never been smoother and I don't get any knicks or razor bumps. PJTP: Whew! I'm really feeling that slight unfill these days. I'm hungry a lot and can eat way more than I should so I'm struggling to stop at some reasonable point. The problem is, even when I've been good on portion control, because of all the darned Valentine's treats and Girl Scout Cookies laying around, I'm chowing on that too! Yikes! Anyway, I've scheduled another fill for next Tuesday. This time I'm going to ask for just .25 cc. They've always given me .5 cc increments because I'm sensitive to fills but I think I'm at a point where .25 cc is what I really need. If it's not enough, I can always go back and add another .25 cc.

Fanny, I'm not quite where you are but I can relate. I'm thinking if I can just get .25 cc instead of .5 cc, then maybe that'll do the trick but I'm not sure if they will do .25 increments since they've always done .5 cc increments. I guess I can ask.

I seriously doubt the illegal immigrants will win this lawsuit but IF they do, then it most certainly will be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary. There's no doubt how that will turn out.

I wasn't getting stuck at all. I was experiencing reflux at night waking me up at 1:30 AM every night for 2 weeks straight. During the day, I had no issues whatsoever. I got .5 cc taken out on 2/5. I was at 4.5 and got .5 cc to take me to 5 cc in an 8 cc band on 12/2 and everything was fine until about the 3rd week of January which was when I started waking up with reflux. It wasn't burning, just really gross.

I've been called worse. She loves it there. She's been living there for nearly 20 years. Her husband was in the Army and stationed at Fort Huachuca. The cost of living has become out of sight. They bought a modest 3 bedroom home for $105,000 in 1995 and sold it for $330,000 in 2005 which allowed them to buy a 20 year old home on a 3 acre lot nestled in the foothills of the mountains. They are currently working on remodeling the house.

That was my exact situation. I'm really looking forward to getting that tiny fill back but I have to let a couple of stressful situations clear up first so I don't end up too tight again.

Good luck! Office is closed today. Kids are off school (the haven't been in past years so this is the first year I have to share President's Day with the kids). DH is at work, they never close for anything but the major holidays.

Good deal on the fill. Strange about the in-laws--oh well, at least you don't have to deal with them on a regular basis. Didn't like working from home? I love it but it's good to go in to the office from time to time, too. I seriously need another fill -- the .5 cc removal has completely opened up my band and my appetite is fierce!

That just sucks crzytchr. On a separate note, my daughter is a girl scout and we have way too many GS cookies in the house. It's a really, really dangerous thing. I pigged out on Caramel Delights and Thin Mints last night. Since my unfill, I DEFINITELY have a much bigger appetite. It's amazing what .5 cc can do. I need to get some put back in but I need to wait until my period returns to normal cycle. I missed my last period and it's been almost a month already. I think I may be entereding into perimenopause. For those of you wondering, no, I am not pregnant. I had a tubal ligation 8 years ago but just to be safe, I did do a pregnancy test and it's negative. I am so regular and consistent on my periods I could practically predict it to the hour.

Which comes first? Cardio or Weights?
Brad, you look like you're at goal. Great job. I really need to start exercising again. For those of you on this thread, how long after you started exercising did you start noticing the effects on the scale and muscle tone?

PJTP: My DD and I had lunch with Gloucester, her DD and another friend. We had a wonderful time and it was really good to meet IRL. Glouc's so pretty and sweet. Her daughter (gorgeous and the most fantastic complexion) has the patience of a saint. We literally bored her poor DD to tears. My rude teeange son wouldn't invite her to play Wii with him.

Kids... they're still irresistable though -- especially when they're your own family. How long are you going to be in FL? They do have internet in Florida, you know.

I'm so sorry. That's really awful. It's a good thing you went to get checked out -- did they give you one of those neck braces until you could get to your doctor? Also, have you contacted an attorney about your accident? Insurance companies are notorious for not wanting to pay the full amount of all damages so it's usually a good idea to get a lawyer. BTW, the insurance is not supposed to pay off the note, it's supposed to reimburse you the actual market value.

My sis lives there. When I lived in Phoenix, I used to go down and visit her once a month. It's a beautiful place and it really has built up quite a bit over the last 10 years. BJean, I have to agree with OneHotMama on this one.

Thanks, Shonda. I loved it. Hope it went well and you get a couple of good offers out of it. Hope you had/are having fun. LOL How sweet. Happy belated anniversary. You'll be missed but I totally get being unplugged. I did that over the Christmas break and it was awesome. PJTP: DH, DD and I went on our Valentine's Date last night and had a wonderful time. DD says Daddy's her man too so it's only right she gets to go on the date too. When we got to the restaurant we had a 45 minute wait so we ordered a bottle of wine at the bar and drank that before dinner and in lieu of dessert, I had a pomegranite martini -- wait for it...when we got home I was a bit more tipsy than I thought and fell flat on my face and busted my upper lip (actually not the lip but the area between the nose and the lip). Since I was buzzing pretty good it didn't hurt much. We still played the new love songs CD DH got and danced the night away at home with our lovely DD. DS (15 yo teenage boy) opted to stay home, in the gameroom and played his new game all night. He enjoyed the leftovers from the resatuarant and giant Hershey's Kiss. We've always included our kids in our Valentine's celebrations. OK, now that I've bored you all to tears with my night, PJTP may resume it's regularly scheduled programming.

Did anyone gain a pound or two back after initial loss?
1 -2 lbs is not really a regain or even a loss -- our bodies can fluctuate 2-5 lbs. If you regain 5 lbs and it stays that way for a week or more, then that's a gain. Don't sweat 1-3 lbs in weight fluctuations.

It's a full moon, Friday the 13th? I gotta figure out a place I can go and REALLY stir up some trouble.
