  1. I was not able to eat that much so soon and had been advised not to eat until full. Did your doc give you printed instructions for this stage? Are you on mushy food stage?
  2. Resist the urge..that stuff is sinful especially around the office during holidays. You get busy and start popping 1or2or3 down before you realize what you've done. You have no guilt because everyone else is so lax about eating it too. Chew gum..is that even allowed? Lol
  3. I got one following surgery and was sent home with it. I wore it consistently for several weeks. I felt very vulnerable when I stopped wearing it.
  4. While I do understand your family members concerns that you are young, you make a great point about not having to endure years of ups and downs and subsequent health issues. If you believe you've made adequate efforts and your doctor agrees that this surgery is in your best interest..go for it young lady. Great that your parents are now supportive..others will follow later!
  5. Hello All.. I was banded 5 weeks ago and had my first fill after Christmas. Since my fill, my stomach has been especially noisey when I drink and sometimes when I eat. It sounds exactly like bad hunger noises. I am not having any other issues that I'm aware of. I admit that I kinda like the sounds. I know that is wierd but it makes me feel that something is working in there..something is churning this fat up..lol. Does anyone else have this noise going on?
  6. I got the band after doing my research and deciding that it was best for me and my situation...mainly for the same reasons that you listed. I have no regrets so far. My gf has the sleeve and is very pleased with it as well. You know that this is really a personal decision..its great that you are doing your research and most importantly that you are doing what you feel is important to improve your health. Good luck..let us know what you decide. On another note, you will be able to meet your surgeon prior to your surgery and you can also begin researching him on your own. My surgeon is not all warm and fuzzy but he did a great job with my surgery! It was discovered that I have a massive fibroid, during my LB procedure. My surgeon gave me great followup/aftercare resources so that I can address the issue. My surgeon does not do my fills so I expect that my ongoing care will be mostly facilitated by True Results.
  7. Your exercise regimen is crucial. It should not matter if you exercise at home or the gym..whatever makes you comfortable and motivated. I really don't understand him not wanting you to go to the gym. Is it because of the cost of a gym membership? Anyway, get to the bottom of that with him so you can get your workout on! Best Wishes
  8. Hang in there..I'm about 5 weeks out and I'm normal again..well almost, lol- Most of my pain is gone and weight loss is steady.

  15. My friend/former classmate Lonnie is a cancer survivor and fitness instructor. She has an exercise DVD that may interest you. I don't have it yet but plan to order this week. Her story is inspiring. Her DVD reviews have been great! Google come2ufitness and you can order from there.
  16. Congratulations!! Remember to walk often and drink your water.
  17. Keep it up. That is great progress!
  18. My Chocolate Brownie and Dulce de leche calcium chews do the trick for me!
  19. I'm not sure since I didn't eat solids for a couple of days. I expected to feel it immediately bc my nurse asked how my swallow was after drinking water.
  20. I just had my 1st fill on 12/26. I was on liquid for a day, soft food a day. I'm now back on solids and yes I can tell a difference.
