  3. Yes, I have walked a lot today but I'm not overdoing it. Anything for the dry cotton mouth anyone? I've tried cough drops, and they seem to work a little along with the G2 Gatorade.
  4. Thanks Banjo257 :-)
  5. Hello supporters, my surgery went well today but my mouth is extremely dry, I have a bad case of cotton mouth. I'm still sippin on g2 Gatorade and it's helping but don't last it comes back immediately. But I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everybody that commented on my post, you don't know how much I appreciate it and to have that kind of support, it really touched my heart and it was very helpful. I'll post more later but for now I'm going to lay down for a few hours. Thanks again, oladad
  6. Yes I know people are rude, it's just he's my business partner and there's really no HR to get involved. My wife says just ignore him , but it's hard expescially right now when all your emotions are screwed up. Thanks guys for all your input and well wishes.
  7. Tomorrow November 8th I am having my surgery, so today I reminded my business partner of the surgery and me taking time off and out of the blue he says, so you're getting your cock ring tomorrow. This was so embarrassing , a few people in the office overheard and started laughing with him. All throughout the day he would joke about it and kept calling it a cock ring. The more he knew it bothered me the more he did it, I'm just glad today's over. :'(
  8. Well it looks like it comes down to less than 24 hours for my surgery. I'm so excited and can't wait to finally be banded! It's been very difficult getting here, but I think that it makes you appreciate it more and prepares you for what's ahead. Is anyone else getting banded tomorrow November 8th? It would be nice to have a buddy for the same day. :-)
  9. Carolinagirl, I guess the reason I'm worried is that this is a major surgery, I know it's safer then the alternative but this is the first time I have had any kind of major surgery. I guess I'm just worried about if things went wrong for my family and kids. I know I need this! and you're right I do have a good surgeon he's the best in the southeast for I researched him long before I even started this journey. Thanks again for being tough with me and getting my head straight. ALL you guys are awesome!!
  10. jen-1381 and timeformyself, you all have eased my mind, and I'm feeling pretty good about the whole thing today. Thanks for all the support! I needed it.
  11. Thank you Starting over! I know I need this but you're right, it is about the unknown. I will have to just trust God, and leave it in his hands. :-)
  12. Thank you Wtloss!
  13. Nov.8th is my day along with Hianal hernia repair, but Im starting to get a little worried. Someone please help! Is this normal to have second thoughts or is something trying to tell me don't do it.
  14. me too
  15. lesley714, I think most everything they were asking me for was normal procedure. But it seemed like they just kept asking for more. It started with seeing if I was a good canidate, for the surgery. For me it was with type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, BMI ratio, and high blood pressure. They asked for 6 months of supervised weight management from an a doctor , with documentation of diet and exercise. Recommendation from a dietitian along with training how to eat healthy, this took two visits. A full blow psych evaluation and recommendation for the surgery. I thought this would be all they wanted but for almost a month and and a few days they kept denying me 3 times. They asked for a medical clearance again from my doctor and a note stating that this surgery was necessary. I kept faxing papers and they would say they never got them, then they said it was denied and I would have to summit all the paperwork again. Finally my surgeon ask for a Pier to Pier and then they finally approved it. The doctors office and my surgeon done a lot but I called the insurance company everyday just so they wouldn't drop the ball and believe it or not it does help when you call instead of the doctors office. So I wish you well and hope Cigna won't jerk you around like they did me with the missing paperwork.
  16. Well it's been a long journey just trying how to get in the surgery room. First thought it would be September 28th but ends up tentatively November 8th!
