  5. btw here are the types of wls!! im done interacting with ignorant people who do not work in the this profession. I work on a med/surg floor as a registered nurse with bariatric patients having these wls. http://www.webmd.com...king-the-choice
  6. I thought this forum would be very encouraging to those who have an eating disorder. It is just monopolized by certain people who give out mis information. peace out, going to look somewhere else, hopefully none of you are on it. peace out and good look on your journey.
  7. Just wanted to check if she knows what she is talking about. baffles me that she thinks by just placing a band by the fundus of stomach can decrease this hormone.
  8. I would not be guided by someone who gets info off the internet.
  9. so your saying just by placing the band by the fundus of the stomach it will decrease this hormone, your confusing many
  10. Can you name this hormone that regulates? And how does it regulate it??
  11. Where did you get your info, on the internet!! I work with bariatric patients who go through wls and are well educated on the types of wls.

  13. Easier said than done!! Why have the lap band if you have the will power to follow dr orders to the t. In sure your pcp spoke to you regarding your weight and a change in your diet. Comments like these that blow my mind, ppl so judge mental. Were are all adults and do what we please. Btw weightloss via lap band is through restriction!!! Not satiety. Pouch is a certain size and only a certain amount of food fits!!
  14. I am on reg food, sx on 9/10. Started about 10 days, doing well.
  15. Love this thread!!! Glad to see i am not the only one that feels this way!!!

  23. Why did they place you on a pain patch. Do you have chronic pain?
  24. It only hinders if it causes sedation. But we encourage pain meds to allow patients to walk take deep breaths in etc.
