  1. I am so sorry to hear you lost a child. I also had a miscarriage in march. I too want to be healthy before I think of getting pregnant again. I have a 2.5 yr old now. Once you reach your target weight do you still have to go back for fills? My insurance only covers the band I believe.
  2. I also had a c-section in 2010. I know I Will have a flabby stomach. Insurance might possibly cover a tummy tuck?! That would be awesome!
  3. Wow, congrats! Can't wait to hear more from you!
  4. Wow, 143 in 8 mths? That is amazing. Congrats! I also was curious how much every one is also exercising. A few mths back as I put on more weight ( quit smoking ) my knees and feet hurt when I walk. Right now I can do about 15 min and then I need to sit down or take a break. I get so out of breath. Today I took 2 walks for about 15 min each time. I am going to do that everyday. Just split up the walking so its a little easier. Until I lose some weight and can go for a longer period of time. I love reading all the success stories!
  5. Wow, that's amazing! Good for You! I am so excited to get It. I hope the insurance just approves it and doesn't give me any problems. Today I decided to get a jump start on losing weight. I ate really well today and took 2 walks. I had 2 bottles of water also. I am a diet coke girl which will be ending soon what have you gave up that you miss?
  6. Hi Abbie, what made you decide to do the sleeve? It's so confusing with all the different ones, LOL I think with my insurance my only option is The band. Which is fine with me. Where do you live? I live in browns mills.
  7. Wow, that's great! How much have you lost? I need to lose at least 100 lbs
  8. Awesome! My email is jjjingram@yahoo.com where do you live in jersey? Did you get the band yet?

  15. Thanks everyone for all the info! I hope i have good genes, LOL Tonight i went to my 1st support group and was AWESOME! Everyone was so nice and the Dr's were there to answer any Q's. I got a lot of my Q's answered so i feel a lot better now about it. The pt coordinator was there and she even remembered me. I only had 1 visit and that was almost 2 mths ago! It's nice to know they really care about their patients. At the end people stood up and said what procedure they had and how much weight they lost. Very encouraging. Good luck to everyone and i can't wait to share our success stories!
  16. Hi again. My dad asked me the other day what i was going to do about the excess skin. It got me thinking if i will have a lot or just a little. I don't think ins. co. cover that procedure and it's so expensive. Is there anything i can do to prevent it? Thanks!
  17. I am also waiting so i know how it feels. My Dr. just sent everything in so i probably have to wait at least a week to hear anything I am getting so anxious. I just want to get it done so i can start making progress. I hope you hear something soon. Keep us posted!
  18. Hi, I am from browns mills, nj. I have seen Dr. Wassner. He seems to be pretty good and The office staff is great!
  19. Thank you everyone for your reply's. I have been looking at photo's on here and am so impressed! I really can't wait to start. I am going to start writing down all my Q's to ask at my next visit. Also, someone mentioned the book " Bandwagon " has anyone read it?
  20. Hello everyone. My name is Jen and i just joined this site. I love it already! My Dr. just sent in the paper work to the insurance. I am so nervous that something will go wrong. Hopefully i will here back something by friday. I am a stay at home mom to a 2.5 yr old. I am 35 and married. A little bit about myself.. I was of normal weight most of my life. When i met my husband 10 yrs ago i was at my thinnest. A yr after we met i started getting panic attacks. Long story short i quit my job, became depressed, and started gaining weight. 4 mths ago i quit smoking and gained 30 lbs! I am beyond disgusted with myself. It's to the point where my knee's and feet hurt every day. Hard to bend and pick stuff up, walk up and down stairs.... I would love to make some friends on here to share this journey with. Now for the Q's i have. I am confused about how many different vitamins to take. Is chewable flintstones enough or do i need other ones also? Are you able to swallow pills? I take medicine daily for anxiety/depression. Is anyone else overwhelmed by all the rules? Like stop drinking before meals, then wait 30 min after, vitamins taken at seperate times....Well, that's about it i guess. Thanks for listening and hope to hear back from you guys!
